well i see. the filter they showed me is also made by tokyo roki japan. golden isuzu said they are using it for all skyactiv engines without issues. basically the same oil filter with different part number, but on the inside practically the same.

already call mazda dealer and they have the pe01 in stock.

There would've been no point updating them parts if the old ones were still ideal...Don't you think so?[emoji848] I'd go w/ factory specs.[emoji4]

Yup just stock up on spares. The local talyer does my 3's oil changes but I bring my own oil, crush washer, and OEM filter.

Researching on Mazda 3 compatible replacements such as oil filter and coolant. other mazda forums suggest Wix 57002 which is specific for mazda skyactiv requirements. Now, I was able to talk to Wix supplier in the country and they said that 57002 model is for US market (made in mexico) and the equivalent for the Asian market (made in poland) is wl7200. they also said that wl7134 is also compatible. but for peace of mind, i will settle for the Mazda filter for the meantime.

for the coolant, i found a service bulletin stating that FL22 coolant is rated for 10years or 122k miles! and its a premix ratio of 55/45 compared to the usual 50/50. Reading on the forums suggest that mazda fl22 is the same as Peak coolants and can be added safe to the system. Also i found that Ravenol has their FL22 coolant available! but i doubt the 10-year coolant.. i think it will be safe to change coolant on 100k kms or on the 5th year.

Ganyan din sabi nila sakin dati sa Golden Isuzu ok lang daw yun B6Y1. Napagoogle ako dati and yun PE01 daw ata walang anti-drain back valve which is designed for skyactiv. Ayun bumili nalang ako sa Mazford ng PE01-14-302B 450 PHP each para sure.

If no odd noises yet, the leak may just have started.

Im not 100% sure lf I remember correctly if he said the 4kpeso is the replacement or the original. Either way he is claiming both have 1yr life duration anyway. Thanks sir for the advice

it's not an emergency to replace, but it does get on someone's un-initiated nerves because of the noise.
sometimes, the squeaking noise isn't evident. but when rolled without the belt, it makes a low vibrating noise (new ones are almost noiseless).
mine has been giving me signs to have it replaced, for nearly two years now. but as it's just a spare car... heh heh.
it's mahal or mura, depending on one's level of financial comfort. the post-er above gives you a range of cost.
labor is extra, kaya siguro mataas ang estimate ni isuzu golden.

    good luck.
I stand corrected sir. Im not a car guy so Im not familiar with car parts, but im trying to keep my mazda 3 in tip top shape as much as possible hence my inquiries in this thread. Btw, regarding the belt tensioner, the owner showed me mine in the engine and he told me that its already leaking since hindi na clear and puro black na. As for the noises, wala naman. My car is still same as 4 yrs ago, and I dont notice such noises. Should i replace it once maencounter ko etong noises na to? And what kind of noises?

Wipe off whatever smudge & observe for weeping. You can grab a spare tensioner, preferably OEM, & store for when the need comes. It's nothing major nor urgent. Do you shop US online? Here's from a preferred vendor....

This is true. Skyactiv-specific Oil Filters are designed w/o the AntiDrainBack Valve....

The common oil filter has the ADBV.

went around different auto supply today to source consumables for the mazda 3.. kinda got confused with local auto supply names derived from Mazda and Ford.. FrdMaz, MazFord, FrdMaz2 etc.. i thought they are the same but apparently they're not.. hehehe.

Finally, I was able to source the correct oil filter PE01 worth 350 pesos.. so I bought 4 to maximize my trip... unfortunately, they don't have replacement air filter and the original mazda is worth 1.6k.. might settle with known replacement brands.. I also bought replacement cabin filter.. A/C now smells fresh and cools fast even on a hot afternoon sun.

BTW, i learned that the wipers are the refillable type Mitsuba. where do you buy the blade? It's a 10mm width. Checked out NWB Aero wipers that almost look the same as our OEM wiper. its basically the same NWB metal frame wiper only the Aero does have a plastic cover.

i also bought original Mazda spark plugs iridium worth 5.3k for the set of 4. out of curiosity, i also ordered "mazda" sparkplug from LZD... its very cheap.. to compare with what we have in the local auto supply. Initial impression is they look the same but upon closer inspection... its fake!! the dimensions of the tips are clearly smaller than the original... so be warned! hehe

drove the car today stretching her legs shifting near the 7k rpm.. damn.. the car is so fast and the transmission is superb.. its like a manual transmission.. you can really feel the connection of the transmission to the driver and gives you control. as for the acceleration, its not the same as a CRDI engines does where you really fell the car pushing you on your seats..

drove around entertainment city in pasay going fast in roundabouts to test its handling.. with rear tires screeching while taking the curve.. nice handling!!

generic wiper refills (yung blades lang) are available from the mall auto accessories shelves. 130 bucks or so, for a cut-to-length pair.
look for the spine size. it's in very small print, somewhere on the package.

some casas may have them. call.

A bit too early for spark plugs, don't you think?[emoji4] Yes, OE aero wipers are Mitsuba. I replaced w/ this set... NWB Aero Wipers ND-018 & ND-024 nippon-made

Online ba yan? Or physical store yung dealer ng Zic X9 5w30? I am using Zic X7 5w30 on my FXT now and I bought a few months ago Mag1 5w30 to be used on my next oil change.

Sa FordMaz, they are selling Motorcraft FS 5w30 for 450 per liter while yung Motorcraft FS 5w20 is 650 per liter.
