Possible tok sound that you hear from the front left suspension is the engine support number 4. Instaryed hearing mine when it was 2#,### km. Replaced it at 32,000 km.

got the car already! unfortunately the i-stop amber light is blinking and 2 warning lights.. battery management system malfunction and i-stop.

maintenance light was reset on the infotainment

checked with my cheap OBD scanner. no codes stored or pending codes. the scanner detected both the transmission and engine modules.

using my digital battery analyzer says battery is still good *660cca rating but needs recharging and the cranking voltage is 9.6volts with starting time at around 700 ms

the weak battery is very evident on the first inspection but when i got it, the battery is really weak. i already haggled for this and the owner knows that its already due for replacement..

would charging the battery using c-tek resolve this? planning to use the recondition mode of the ctek charger but i need to disconnect the battery. already checked online on the steps emphasizing that the current sensor cable on the negative terminal should be removed to avoid damage on the reinstallation of the battery (spark)

if i need removed the battery, what systems that needs to initialize? read about the steering that needs to be turned lock to lock on both direction and the sunroof reset. are there other things that i need to reset?

    thanks again..

Battery's undergone too much degradation already. You can try reviving but I doubt it will last. Those warning lights are common symptoms for a weak battery especially the triangle [emoji615].

Worth a try, but that's just a band-aid solution. Just get a new batt for peace of mind. First time my warning lights show up, running it for a few hours would do the trick but next day, it'll just come back.

You don't need to reset anything if you're lucky. Other times, you'll have to reset the auto up and down for power windows.

When you get a new batt, i-stop warning light will blink continuously for the first hour or so of driving, but everything will return to normal after the new batt's fully charged.

No need to bring to casa for a system reset, they'll just charge you extra.
Honestly preferred the i-stop didn't initialize anymore so I don't need to hold press it everytime to deactivate.

thanks for the reply.. will charge for the meantime while waiting for the lift of ecq..

car drives fast and stable.. easy to accelerate and the sound of the exhaust is nice.. tried to floor it several times to check transmission response, its quick and no shift shock during downshift and upshift.

i find the door mounted side mirror position a little weird.. at first glance, i always see the side body of the assembly instead of the mirror..

will do DIY interior cleaning in the next days! removed its cabin filter and its already nasty.. need to buy replacement

Skyactiv-drive ATs are super responsive and reliable, they really nailed the tuning. Reviewers keep insisting the 6AT is outdated, lacking in gears, I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Btw, manual will say the ATF is lifetime which is false. Concensus among owners is you should change it by 80k at the latest, drain and fill only.

Charged the battery using ctek for around 5 hours today.. i-stop amber light is gone and the battery management warning..

Drive around for 30 mins but i think.its not enough to make the i-stop ready..

Tested the a/t revving up to 5k rpms.. shifted fine and smooth

Ah the downshift 2 gears switch you mean. Never fails to make me grin.

Try this: Brake hard from high speed like you're entering a corner. The AT will downshift and blip to 4k. It will then hold that gear while you're in the corner and upshift at redline when you straighten out. Feels good man....
