You think the decarbonize is worth it for 4.4k? :D

    Thanks
Please stick with 5w-30 Full Synthetic. I've stuck w/ Helix. Long been off Yojin & haven't had the any decarb done. It's a harmless service (nowhere near the real decarb procedure, walnut blasting, tho)....Beneficial if you've logged quite a bit on your odo w/ mostly short & slow trips.

We had our good old 1st gen M3 decarbonized at 100T km on the odometer. Daily driven car with horrendous traffic conditions here at QC. After the car was decarbonized, there was a noticeable improvement with fuel economy and engine responsiveness. Like what travs said, it's worth it if your M3 is driven for short distances and/or goes through heavy traffic most of the time.

What do you think guys? They have offered me extended preventive maintenance service which includes free filter and oil, but this time I need to pay their service of 3300 pesos. Should I avail that or there's a better alternative to that??
Second, they highly suggest the service that they offering which is Decarbonized (or sounds like that) for 4400 pesos. Is it recommended to get that? (Actually I need to decide in an hour, sorry)

Lastly, ngayung wala na siya warranty, ano yung mga things na pwede ko na gawin sa car. I'm not enthusiast naman, but of course, little improvement would be nice :D.

    Thanks in advance mga bros
Ok lang extended pms. Di naman mahal. But no for decarbonize. Useless and expensive

Yojin has always given us 5w-30 Full Synthetic. How much of those 45k kms are highway & city? You should be fine w/ your plan.....But if you intend to keep the car long term, shorter oil change intervals will definitely help keep engine health up & slow carbon build-up down. Remember, Sky is DI.

Been using Shell synthetic from dealer for my diesel CX-5. After 5,000 i change my oil and used X7 from ZIC. Very noticeable improvement in economy and acceleration. Now I'm gonna try Dexos standard. Hopefully it will yield better results. Kung may 1.5km/ltr improvement meron. But mine is diesel and a combination of highway and city driving. The catback "scab" also helped a lot.

    How about sakin sir?

In may case, 2 or 3 times a week ko lang siya ginagamit around 5K (balikan). Tapos once in a quarter, out of town (100k to 300k). Actually 3 years na M3 ko, and my total so far pero 16K pa lang ang total niya, hehe. I think its lower than usual.

Helix Ultra 5w-30 or equivalent Euro-blend Fully Synthetic of same 30weight & specs as table above. Frequency? What interval is deemed affordable? Shorter will always be better....I'd keep em under 10k.[emoji4]

You're not using the 3 enough, sir. Lucky next owner.[emoji4]
Go for the dealership à la carte oil change service....not the buffet. Mine was around 4k w/ Helix Ultra FS 5w-30 & OEM oil filter. Get comparative dealership quotes.

Even after replacing 1 year old cabin air filter, aircon no longer cold as it used to. Also noticed an oil leak emanating from oil drain plug after an oil change.

Any suggestion re:aircon? May kinalaman ba yun ambient temp sensor sa aircon performance? It appears that it's no longer showing the correct temperature, 37 degrees celsius two nights ago?

Hmmm. How much have you clocked on the odo, sir? Does your regular route cover dirt roads? Check how dirty your AC condenser is behind the grille. You can DIY clean..... & be surprised by the increased efficiency.
    Eric will show you how....

The attached pic shows how much the high side pressure dropped post-cleaning. Top is pre, bottom is after. Proof that condenser cleaning isn't some placebo.

Now, if that doesn't work, have the dealership check your refrigerant pressures. If low on refrigerant, here's a guide for the BM/BN3:

Let's hope there are no leaks....please get back to us on here, sir. Thanks.

40K (4 yr old 2.0 Hatch BM), mostly city driving, stuck in traffic most of the time. Should have gone to the casa for the last PMS (tsk, trying to save a few buck, lessons learned).

I'm not DIY guy and I think I'll just have to visit the casa... soon.

I think visiting the casa would consume you lots of time compared to just sprinkling water to the condenser.
I do this every week and I could see the black dust particles flowing down the drain. Similar with your home's AC unit, if you sprinkle it with water every week your electric bill goes down.
