What accessories are you looking for? Honeycomb grille from Taiwan, if outta stock locally, can also be bought from eBay. Sadly, shipping will cost you....

Glass coat is good paint protection, a pain when some paint retouching is called for. Reach out to Justdiy of Technical Details, another fellow Mown3r (+63917 737 2958), for detailing & paint protect tips.

    Mazda 2 (2015) question

Medyo OT siguro pero I really really need your inputs here. SIA.

Planning to buy Mazda 2 (2015) old generation.

The price is around 350-400k. Mura dhl siguro sa skyactv tech ng mazda; been reading forums abt this.

Worth it padin po ba sya bilhin ngayon? City driving lang po. Pampasok minsan sa office, (from Pasig to Makati, (graveyard shift)) then pang-gala kpg weekends.

    Thanks guys!

Hello sir, the current M2 DJ is actually 4th gen in the Demio line. When you say 2015 old gen, do you mean the gen3? Many factors govern in buying used...condition, variant, age, prior care, need, want, market & relative value, etc.
I can speak for the current 2...perfect daily if you need not haul people. Able, agile, nimble, fun, reliable, easy to squeeze in & park...& the bonuses of yojin3 & looks...it's the prettiest in its class, IMO.

Good pm mga master, will be getting a M3 1.5V hatch, just waiting for bank approval. Planning to change the stock rim sa stock 18" ng pang 2.0.

    Congrats, sir!!! WelcoM3 HoM3!!!
Most of us 1.5 hobos have asked the same question. Yes, stock 18s are on the heavy side. The easiest way to extract power is not to lose much of what you already have. Wheels are unsprung rotational mass...the lower, the better.
SkyActivs are pretty efficient. Yes, Fuel Consumption would be affected but it won't really be significant, esp when you add our traffic conditions in. If you're planning to achieve lesser wheelgap by going 225/45, it will a bit, but still won't look low.
Have you checked page 346? Share us your plans. Thanks & Grats!!!

thanks a lot sa reply master travs. actually, only asked the 225/45 dahil yan yung marami sa market. halos wala kasi nagbebenta ng 215/45 kaya kung sakali makakuha ako ng stock 18" mabilis ako makakahanap ng gulong pag 225/45.

For the mods, basic lang muna sir.

    1. plate relocator of course. - will drop you an email sir travs once i get the unit

Good mod list, sir. You need not hurry.
Some sell the stock wheels w/ tires on. 225/45 works. I had that as my 1st set.
Please share pics of your coming M....Facelift, right? Grats!!!!

Update lang po dun sa tanong ko last time. So I went sa casa this morning to have them check that creaking noise I've been hearing habang paatras/abante. The service manager was able to reproduce the sound both sa oto ko at dun sa test unit nila. So I guess depende nga sa apak nung nagmamaneho yun.

Also, I saw the facelifted version of the Mazda 3. Akala ko push button yung handbrake nya, di pala. Everything else looks the same EXCEPT meron na yung bago na sport mode button, itsura ng grille/manibela, at yung parang cup holder sa driver and passenger side. And medyo aggresive na yung look nya pag nasa harap ka. But I'm not sure kung sour graping lang ako or buyers remorse, kasi masyadong excited, pero kahit yung paddle shift di ko nagagamit on a daily drive let alone that sport mode button. Do you really need more speed from your Mazda? Mabilis na eh. Each to their own nalang siguro.

Maybe only the higher versions of the Mazda 3 have the electronic brake? When they launched the facelifted Mazda 3 last Sept, they showed the speed version which has the electronic brake. See pics on p.893:

People have this mistaken notion that "Sport mode"= "Speed mode". Its not, the top speed will still be the same, what does change during Sport mode is acceleration i.e. the ability to get to speed more quickly. Gear changes by the computer become more aggressive (instead of upshifting early, you will stay in lower gear longer and change at a much higher RPM and the accelerator pedal feels tighter and more responsive reducing lag. So essentially you are not going faster, instead you are now quicker. But I do agree with you on the paddles, I could only count on my fingers how many times I used it.
