Congrats sir! To answer your question, no. Yan ang unang unang modification na dapat mong gawin.
I agree and I'm well aware of the disadvantages of getting just the maxx variant. I really really want the 1.5V (or R ) variant but as I mentioned, I'm constrained by my budget which I cannot stretch anymore, and I'm hesitant to go into financing.

I really liked the Mz2 but as I mentioned on my prior post I'd really prefer a bigger car and I don't mind the older engine or the FC as long as it's reliable and the MZR is. I agree na mas sulit in the long run ang Skyactiv Mz3 but I'm not sure if I could find another sub 850k compact sedan that's of this quality and look since the Mitsubishi Lancer EX GLX is no more and I'm really not into the Corolla Altis E. I really don't want to go into the subcompact or city car category.

    Hypothetical question:
Down the line, maybe 3 to 5 years from now and I'm due for an engine overhaul, would it be feasible to swap the MZR with a Skyactiv Engine and Tranny or whatever Mazda cooks up by that time?

To those who are on tein h tech, how do you adjust rear negative camber in order to conform to or be close to OE specs?

3 to 5yrs, overhaul? Nah. Well cared cars can last decades. Proper periodic maintenance is key.
If that time should come, I won't go transplants. They're more complex than they seem & molestation drives the car's already low value then even lower.

The MZR-mated Maxx isn't a bad car at all. Same gen3 look, bigger than an M2....plus... You can definitely make it look as classy as a 2.0 w/o spending much.

If I were to choose after having been spoiled by my hobo 1.5? I won't think, nor blink twice...hands down, a 1.5 thoroughbred Sky. Then again, you haven't been where the Mowb3rship journey has taken me.

On the other hand, wants & needs vary from 1 to another. The forums can give you all sorts of info on favored options out there....but beyond everything, the bottom line should be your HAPPINESS. Should you choose the Maxx, you won't be less a Mown3r than any of us & would be most welcome to be our brothah here.
    Discern, pray....& go be a Mown3r.
    Keep us posted!

    2 options....
    1. The better 1:
Gen3 M3-specific Rear Camber arms from JBR or HardRace

    2. The hobo:
    SPC camber shims:

But w/ HTechs, your rear camber would still be w/in spec w/o any of the above. If going lower on coilies, I'd get arms.

Of course I won't be overhauling or replacing anything by that time. I know the MZR engine can last a long time when taken good care of. I'm merely asking hypothetically.

I'd rather get whichever the best value car is by that time and if it happens to be a Mazda then I'll most likely go get it. And since mazda just introduced the Skyactiv-D engines with the Mazda 6 and CX-5, I'm really hoping it would cascade down to the M2 and M3. That would probably be my next car after this.

But yeah, right now I'm leaning towards the Maxx. I don't see anything new or coming up that would offer a better value. If anything I'd be getting a tried and tested engine on an awesome looking body for cheap. I'll just go for a trip to Banawe a few months or so after getting it to spruce it up a bit.

Hi, Sir Yatta. You can try Mazda Marcos Highway. Last time I checked with them pwede magdala ng own horn and they will install it, labor cost quoted to me ~ 2-3k.

    Hello,

Would anyone be able to recommend a good SA? My bank financing got approved yesterday and I'd like to know if I'd be able to take home a Mazda 3 at the end of this month?

What I meant was, ayaw nila mag-install ng part na galing labas, then intact pa rin ang Yojin3. Payag ba ang Marcos Hiway na galing labas ang piyesa pero hindi void ang warranty at Yojin3?

Hi fellow Mown3rs! Is there any alternative to opening the trunk while inside the car? Just got my M3 sedan and I forgot to ask the people at Mazda about the trunk latch. The only way I know is shifting to (P)ark then turning off the engine then pressing the trunk button on the remote then turning the engine on again. Parang ayaw kasi magopen pag hindi inoff yung engine. Medyo hassle kasi when I park at the office and lagi chinicheck yung trunk and maybe it will cause harm to the engine din dahil on and off (different from i-stop). So do you guys know of any other alternative? Shouldn't there be a switch/latch somewhere inside? Maybe I just haven't found it. Appreciate your inputs! Thanks!

Yup. I dropped by Marcos hi-way(my place is nearby) and asked the SA if I can bring my own horn(bosch europa silver) with wires + relay and whether they can install for me so I wouldn't void yojin warranty. They said yes. But with the labor quote too steep, I decided to do it with another casa as I was quoted lesser sa MNE; yun nga lang sa kanila ko dapat bilhin yung horn. Tipid ako ng 1k.
Better call MMH and ask for the specifics kung pwede nila install yung horn mo.

    If it helps...
On the 2 litre 3 hatch just unlock the doors even if you are on drive while pressing brakes and manong can open the trunk via the soft touch release button at the back

Its ok, mag-1-year na yung Mz2 namin, tiisin ko na lang and DIY it after 2 more years.

Problema ko dito guards don't know where the trunk switch is or how it opens. I am constantly forced to go down and do it myself.

Does the Maxx has the same transmission as the skyactiv? I had an M3 before with the MZR engine and I can attest to its durability. The only I think flaw in it is the transmission which has only 4 speed - but its not too bad also especially if its just for city driving.
