Very patethic indeed ang FC natin. Sinabi ko dun sa taga CAC na I am actually downgrading to a 1.4 liter car tapos worst pa sa mga kotseng dinadrive ko dati....

Rav4 3-dr 2liter engine - 8km/liter kahit ihataw mo palagi, naging 7km/liter nung nagkaroon ng halo ang unleaded gas
Pajero FieldMaster 4x4 2.5 liter - 7km/liter kahit ihataw mo pa
Sta Fe 4x2 - 9km/liter kahit ihataw mo pa
Kia Sorento 4x4 - 7km/liter kahit ihataw mo pa
Corolla GLi Lovelife - 10km/liter
Civic EF sedan 14km/liter

Sinabi ko na tutuusin downgrade ang kinuha ko. Small Body, Small Engine tapos worst pa sa mga sasakyang may malaking makina. I told them minimum requirement ko is 8km/liter. Everything I get now is below expectation and I will continue to post dito sa thread na eto hanggang di ko nakukuha yung desired FC ko.

hi mikmik316 bukas test drive ko with the CAC engineer,and i definitely know kung ano sabihin nila sakin,for me i really cant blame those people because work nila yun at yun bumubuhay sa kanila,ilan beses ko sinabi sa kanila na gas guzzler rio5 but deny to death sila, gusto nila sabihin "matipid naman po rio5 mas matipid lang po talaga yun ibang auto kaysa sa rio5 ninyo" they wont even admit to us owners na yan na po fc nyan.
i told them that the first thing a new car buyer ask is "ano fuel consumption nyan".and i ask them aano sagot ninyo? wala pa daw test ang DOE sa car nila,that is a stupid thing to say kasi may mga test unit sila and im sure they have perform some test to it.
kaya mga ka rio5 owners huwag ninyo tigilan kulitin mga kia people until na may mag paliwanag at iayos fc ng rio5,mag padala sila ng koreanong engineer dito.ito lang naman test nila AIRCON,EURO4 COMPLIANT ENGINE,at yun GEAR RATIO. maayos lang gear ratio nito papalo tayo ng 8km/liter city driving

And 8km/liter is not that impresssive, that CUV territory with 2.0 liter

Yup. For a 1.4L, at least 9km/L should be reached on light-moderate traffic. Pero kung 6-7km/L on traffic, tsk.. that's bad.

At bakit sila puro test ng units niyo, hanggang ganun nalang ba yun? Test, test, test then do nothing about it.

Between Petron XCS (RON 95) and Shell V-Power Nitro+ Racing (RON 97), may advantage ba yung Nitro+ Racing over the XCS for the Rio?

Around 2 pesos per liter yung difference eh, which means approx. +250PHP per month on fuel if I use the Nitro+ Racing over the XCS.

Anong opinion niyo Rio owners?

Bad news for me nga pala: Yung 12-day old kong Rio, kinailangan agad dalhin sa casa!

Paano kasi kagabi, nasa The Fort Strip parking ako tapos sobrang tigas ng brake + hindi ko siya mastart. So I had to call Kia BGC (where I purchased the unit) and they sent two mechanics to the parking lot to check out the problem.

They said something seemed to be wrong with the computer and the car had to be left sa casa because kahit na ma-start nila at mauwi ko, baka the following day naman hindi ko din ma-start.

So I had no choice but to leave the car at Kia BGC.

I just picked up the car again an hour ago and they explained to me that they found a "cluster error" sa ECU or something like that.

Tinanong ko hindi ba dapat chineck-up nila yung unit before releasing it... so what could have happened between then and now (12 days) to have caused the error? Hindi nila masagot... minsan daw may nangyayari talaga na ganun

Sana natanong mo kung ano yun error code na lumabas para sana macheck natin sa net yun cause kung bakit ganun nangyari. Dahil ang mga casa talaga puro nalang hindi alam ang sagot sa mga ganyan bagay.

Mukhang mali naman yata mag complaint sa personal account niya. Tingin ko sa kia international parin pinaka ok mag complaint dahil mabilis ang sagot nila. Kelangan lang siguro ipunin lahat ng complaints tas maglista lahat kung ilan owners ang nagrereklamo

Ok nagkarga na ako XCS kagabi.

Sana natanong mo kung ano yun error code na lumabas para sana macheck natin sa net yun cause kung bakit ganun nangyari. Dahil ang mga casa talaga puro nalang hindi alam ang sagot sa mga ganyan bagay.

I texted my sales agent na itanong dun sa tumingin ng Rio ko kung ano yung error code... although idk, I have the feeling na hindi nila nilo-log yun and wala nang makapagsasabi sa akin kung ano yung error code na nakita nila.

If ever though, where/how can we find out what the error code means?

I finally got my Rio Hatchback last week. Sa may mga IOS: ipad or iphone, try nyo app na Road Trip to monitor and record your fc manual computation. You could also monitor your average expenses as to P/km. Very helpful.. Pati MMDA App

So far so good pa naman. Honestly I'm a bit pessimistic when I got my ride bec I was really expecting for a bad fc(after observing all the fc problem threads for 2-3 months here in tsikot and other countries). Siguro hnd pa kasi ako naiipit ng matagal sa heavy traffic. Na tlgang mga 1-2hrs na bumper to bumper. I try to plan my route and check for MMDA traffic updates. Pati I do observe my driving habits.
Hopefully patuloy na sanang gumanda itong fc (keeping my fingers cross kasi it's too early to tell or conclude)Hindi ko alam kung updated version na ba itong hatchback. Pero sabi nga nung CAC engineer na nagcheck kay sir c_cube na updated or latest firmware nmn yung ECU at wala png bago. Iobserve ko pa rin. And post ko mga susunod na fc ko.

FYI Rio owners, I'll be keeping track of my fuel consumption sa Fuel Consumption Database thread. I started with this post and will update for each trip I make hanggang magsawa ako mag-monitor ng fc :D lol.

Okay, so I've decided to keep track of my fuel consumption on a per-trip basis based on the readings on the display panel. Yung manual computation gagawin ko lang everytime ako magpapa-full tank ng gas.

This is for a 2012 Kia Rio 1.4 EX AT Sedan

FUEL - What fuel is loaded in my tank
KM REMAIN - estimate of how many km the car can still travel based on the amount of gas in the tank (from the display)
ODO - odometer reading (from the display)
T.HRS - trip travel time (in hours; from the display)
T.MINS - trip tavel time (in mins; from the display)
TRIP (KM) - distance of trip (from the display)
AVE KPH - average speed of trip (from the display)
MANUAL KPH - manual computation of average speed (travel distance divided by travel time)
L/100KM - average fuel consumption during the trip (from the display)
KM/L - conversion of the fuel consumption to km/L
MANUAL KM/L - distance travelled since last full tank divided by liters of gas needed to refill to full tank

well pwede naman siguro kung maayos naman ang letter o email mo sa kanyan. IMO lang kasi, pag ganyan personal account na para private life niya na yan eh, hindi na kasama sa trabaho kaya baka hindi maging maganda ang dating. pero we can always try..

magpakabit nalang tayo unichip sa speedlab para mare-tune nila yun ECU natin hahaha! group buy nalang, baka bumababa ng 15K ang isa kasama pa dyno :wishful thinking:

Yup tingin ko ecu upgrade talaga kelangan, parang yun ginawa ng hari sa accent. Like what nicky said, 1st and 2nd gear are very long.

Kaya pansin ko pag nasa 3rd o 4th gear wala ng pulling power, kelangan mo lagi mag downshift. mapapansin mo ito pag biglang paakyat ang kalsada o akyat ka sa tulay, biglang nawawalan ng hatak kahit medyo idiin mo, dapat magdownshift muna.

Nun nagtest yun cac guy ng unit ko, yan mga ecu upgrade ginagawa nalang nila pag nag pms. Pero normally daw hindi na nila sinasabi o tatawagan ang client pag may bagong update o upgrade.

Alam ko pa nga number nun cac guy eh, gusto niyo meet natin minsan. mag ipon ipon tayo tas raise natin concerns pero hindi ako sigurado kung makakatulong.
