Quite low parin sa tingin ko.

Tas na hahassle ako sa moist sa left headlight sa may lower part, nawawala din naman. Nagkakaroon lang ng moist pag bukas headlight pero pag park light lang, wala naman. Is this really normal? Dami ko din kasing nakikitang ibang korean cars na may moist, madalas ko makita sa santa fe. Pero santa fe namin never nagkaganito.

Kung 9km/L ang claim ng Kia sa FC ng Rio, pwede na yan 8km/L mo. Low, pero yan na siguro normal niyan.

Saw this too. Weird with the sticker, but take it out and it actually looks good. Pagbigyan nalang yung steel rims

    hi c_cube

dunno if this will help i asked a friend that part as a general question. He informs me that would be normal as all headlamps have a breather hole and is not completely sealed. but he did inform it is normal for it to have moist during the day, cool weather in the early morning or late nights. but when i mentioned to him that it would moist during usage, there may be an issue with the lighting and the breather hole or there is a crack or gap as my car would have moist if it's raining but as soon as i turn on my headlamps it goes away to the the heat released by said headlamp.

Thanks for the info.. also did some googling and it said it is pretty normal to moist. but like what you said, it should disappear after turning the headlight. but im thinking the heat of the light is not reaching the lower part of the assembly, hence the moisture stays.

This morning, i checked it again, no more moisture or droplets of water.

read somewhere that putting silica gel inside the housing fix this issue, you think this will help? will just attached a wire so i can remove it anytime i want.

hi c_cube regarding your fc,mukang ok na yan ha, ano na ba reading ng odometer mo? and sa headlight mo abnormal yan dalhin mo sa casa mo kasi yun sakin wala naman ganyan problema, update ko lang fc ko, ng mag reach ako ng 1600 ang odometer ko naglalaro na sya sa 12km/100L to 12.5km/100L, so more or less nasa 8km - 8.5km per liter na sya, city driving ito, average speed nasa 14km/h,ang average na byahe ko sa isang araw is about 25km lang, same route everyday. i just hope when i reach 2000km nasa 11km/100L or 9km per liter na sya, kasi may nabasa ako dito sa thread na ito na ganyan din experienced nya when he reach the 2000km mark,to think na matapos ang break in nito sa 7500km pa

    Hi c_cube

silica gel may help but may also cause an issue. That was our family business previously so experimented on silica gel white and blue. You can put that in however i don't know if that'll void your warranty by opening the headlamp. since I don't recommend not gluing it to somewhere inside the headlamp because if the silica gel sachet gets ripped open it may end up cracking the silica and in the process scratch the inside of your plastic headlamp. Silica gel also cracks when it absorbs too much water and turns into powder. This is what's usually used in Closet dehumidifiers. Hope this helps.

yup projector low beam but halogen only, the output is not that great compare to retrofitted projector like gary is using. and the LEDs are parklights only, cant be use for DRL purposes because the of lack of brightness.

Excited to see my Rio again..
It's been 1 week since I sent it to the Casa due to a rattling sound in the Dashboard..
Still have to ask the Mechanic regarding their findings on the unusual sound..

i just had a full tank and my fc improved to 9km/l from 7km/l. imagine, just when i adapted an agressive style of driving; changing gear at 2k for 1st and 2nd gear. i guess that if the computer detects a light load, it will regulate fuel intake even at higher rpm. JMHO.

Really shouldn't shift at too low of an rpm. If you spend too long accelerating, you're wasting gas.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

You can buy that on accessories section of any kia dealers i think. It only uses double sided tapes and its easy to install. doesn't have any part number. it's an after market option, not OEM.

    Hi c_cube

thanks for that info, saw someone on the Kia Rio forum that the low beam projector uses H11b, initially i though it was 9006 or HB3 same as my RAV4 then thought about the 2007 Camry and the projector uses a different bulb altogether, plus it'll void the warranty of the electricals if i'm not mistaken unless Kia installs it. right?

    For low beam H7
    Hi beam H1
    Fogs 9006

Yup it's void already and no problem with it, as long as they will honor my claim if something "knock" on my engine hehehe!

in think Kia can install HIDs for the projector. but have a limit of 5000kelvin only which is daylight. I went from that to 10000kelvin and honestly 10k kelvin seems better at least i'm not blind in the rain and still have my high beams which are regular halogens.

10000K bulbs are so blue, they won't illuminate much during the rain. There's a reason manufacturers always use 4300-5000K bulbs on their cars - these illuminate best even under harsh weather conditions.

Kelvin only measures color temperature, not light intensity.
