Update sa moisture sa driver side headlamp asembly ko..

Nabasa ko kasi sa fb ng club rio na tanggalin daw yun bulb dahil ito daw sabi ng casa para daw mag circulate ang hangin sa loob.

So ang ginawa ko
- tanggal hi beam bulb
- ginamitan ng vacuum for 1 minute para umikot o mahigop yun moisture sa loob
- binalik ang bulb
- nag maneho for 2-3 mins under the rain

Resulted to zero moisture.

Pero obserbahan ko parin, baka pagmatagal ako magdrive under the rain lumabas yun moisture. Pero dati kc pansin ko kahit sandali lang ako magdrive, nagkakaroon na ng moisture.

I'll give an update regarding this matter soon.. but i hope it fixed the moisture problem

hi c_cube baka naman kaya nawala na moisture sa headlight mo dahil sa "tanggal at kabit" mo hehehe.di kaya maluwag lang dati yun kaya ng binalik mo na seal mo lang ng ayos. anyway ano na nangyari kay CYBERIAN di na sya nag post kung ano balita sa rio5 nya?

can anybody give me suggestion kung ano brand maganda gusto ko kasi palitan ng white yun headlight ko and yun fog lamps,ayoko po ng HID, gusto ko same specification ng OEM pero white color,para mas bumagay sa DRL thanks

Hi to all. I got my Rio HB last July 30 and I am already 410km in... got the car with 8km and gas tank lights already.
Already filled up 75 liters mix Xtra Unleaded and XCS. No engine knock heard... Mix Eco On & Off...

This is quite worrying me... Lalabas na 6km / liter lang kaya ni Rio HB... Route is Eastwood-Makati-Intramuros and Vice Versa...

Mas okay pa yung Sorento VGT CRDi 4x4 ko... 6.5-7 km/liter on the same route...

Ang 4300K na HID ay white lang ang kulay. Bagay sa DRL mo.

Kung gusto mo ng white na halogen though, Osram Nightbreaker or Philips Xtreme Vision.

hi, newbie here... just got a 2012 kia rio sedan a/t last June, i have around 3K on the odometer as of today. FC is fairly decent at 14-15km/l at NLEX and 11-12km/l city driving (pasig-c5-makati route). Verdict: very satisfied so far. Just noticed that i have the same problem with moisture inside the headlamps...

*fluff: hataw mode ka ba sa NLEX? Yung Tucson almost 16 km/liter sa SLEX, tamed driving at 100 kph max

80 -100 kph lang, maintain lang na laging naka ilaw yung ECO ON...panalo ang tucson mo!

FUEL CONSUMPTION on the trip meter now reads 12 to 12.3km/100L so that is approximately 8km/liter city driving.but when i gas up and compute it manually ang lumabas 7.19km lang per liter.i advice you na sabihin mo ito sa SA mo sa casa na binilhan mo ng rio5 mo para dumami tayo na concern sa FC ng rio5 natin

hi fluffdaddy your rio sedan a/t has the same engine sa rio5 ko, ask ko lang kung na experienced mo din ba na 6-7km per liter lang before ka nag reach ng 3000km sa odometer mo? ito bang computation mo ay galing sa trip meter mo o manual computation ito? thanks

*rio5 - galing lang sa trip meter, di ko pa natry mag manual comp. nung less than 1000km pa, around 9-10km/l highway, sa city umabot ng 7-8km/l. ngayon nag improve na, halos everyweekend din kasi umuuwi ako pampanga kaya siguro nabanat ang buto =D
one more thing, gamit kong fuel is shell v-power nitro+ from the start pa. once lang sinubukan ko caltex gold (fulltank) pero biglang tumaas FC ko. hinintay ko lang maubos then bumalik ako ng shell...weird though kasi nabasa ko sa past threads na shell registers the worst FC...

Hi guys I have this 2012 M/T Rio EX, I'm now at roughly above 1.5k, prior hitting the 1k mark, i once got 8.4k/L (City Driving) via manual FC computation, after that Iv'e been getting 8.2k/L.

-Are there any other more ways para mapa baba pa yung consumption ko?
-Would a a K&N or Hurricane air filter help? (and is this advisable?)
-Is it advisable to change gears right at the 1.5k rpm mark? Or would it be more economical to change gears right at the 2k rpm mark?

a thought crossed my ind before going to bed to put this fuel efficiency thing to rest. however it may only work in manila, I haven't been to the other provinces so i don't know if there is a similar stretch of road that is a semi-real world and semi-controlled environment.

Things you need:
2 car, 1 car for the experiment and one car as the spare to either tow the other car or be there for assistance.
a long stretch of road

Car 1 (test car) must have a full tank of gas, car 2 (assistance) will carry jerry can of gas. Drive from one end of Macapagal up to the other end, make U-Turn and do the same route again including traffic stops and the 60kph limit, the only times one can drive beyond 60 is after the passing Uniwide, then hit 80 to 100 before reaching the end. Drive until running out of fuel.

Simple as the experiment may seem we've only done this with a 2007 Camry (220kph) and a 1998 RAV4 (140kph). Oh and a 2001 Corolla Altis 1.6J (201kph) which we were also able to speed test on Macapagal before they started the speed limit thing.

masyado pa maaga para malaman ang tunay na FC nyan.. * 1900km eh break in period pa din yan... matipid na yan sa 7km per liter... wait nyo muna mag 5k kms.. at mag change oil...

i noticed that most if not all of you guys need to empty the tank before computing your fc. you don't need to do that. just fix a km reading and then have a full tank then you'll get your fc. 200km man o 50km ang tinakbo, you will get the same fc.
