    hello peeps!

it's been a while, naging busy ng konti kaya di ako nakakabisita dito sa thread natin. anyway, i noticed ang laki pala ng price diff ng fuel filter sa casa vs goodgear a. and it's a good thing ok lng sa kia pasay na galing sa labas ang ipakabit mong pyesa and not voiding the warranty. any other kia centers that have the same policy?

i just had my 35t km pms last month at ang sabi ng service mechanic ko paghandaan ko na raw brake pads ko (all four) in my next 40t km pms (and that's probably late next month. ) parts cost is around 9k daw.

any idea kung how much ang brake pads sa goodgear? baka may nakapagcanvass/nakabili na sa inyo.

my fc stabilized around 10.3-11km/liter mixed city/hi-way. if you're a "good" driver, averaging less than 100kph and staying below 120kph all the time, fc is better than 12km/l for a matic swb. tried & tested too, nakakaantok nga lang and very boring, haha. no complaints so far. ang hirap maging good boy with the power of the carnival. hehe.

oh btw, has anyone tried the new petron turbo diesel in your carnivals? any feedbacks?

    tia.

Baka pareho lang sa SF ko, mga 2+ isang set.. siguro.. Kailangan ba both sa harap and likod palitan?

Under warranty nman. FC ko kung bicol 10 to 11 ang sabe sa monitor pero paghatid bata sa katipunan mga 22 to 24 sa display.

*imperialv - out of the way kc school ng mga kids ko to my work place kaya medyo mahaba ng konti travel ko daily. bumabalik pa ako so around 40-50k daily average. weekends lang nakakapagpahinga si carny. nevertheless super sulit naman. as for the brake pads, yun sabi ng mechanic but i'll have to check for myself. usually nga ganun ang trend e 2:1 kaya medyo doubt din ako nung sinabi na paghandaan ko 4 pads, kc matic daw.(?) i wonder kung same experience sa mga kagaya kong matic.

    * bigeebabee - not very reliable yung fc display kung short runs. averaging kc sya in liters/100km. and long idling like in heavy traffic or parking is a definite killer of fc efficiency. mpansin mo yung fuel gauge mabilis bumaba. at usually yung ac thermostat ko most of d time halos nsa minimum lng, like between the two "blue lines" at best. i just use d fan to compensate. this way faster ang cut off ng compressor & less burden sa makina.

Sa good gear ka na lang bumili ng brake pads para mas mura.. Kung QC area ka sa may sta. mesa mayroon seiring.. Frontier daw sa banawe is the same with good gear. Haven't been to the place yet.

Yep yung gauge hindi accurate yan to commute the FC..

Do you mean pwede ka palang bumili ng parts sa labas without voiding your warranty? I was considering the Carnival as a possible replacement sa current car ko but medyo natatakot ako sa mga posts here about the maintenance cost.

So sa tingin nyo mas sulit pa rin to have your vehicle maintained by the casa for the whole warranty period of 5-years as compared to having it maintained outside?

Hi I am new in this thread, i just brought my new Kia Carnival last May 22, previously I have Kia Sportage 96 model, i am happy with this car but it come to end na lumalaki ang family ko so, so I am looking for a bigger car and i found Kia Carnival. i seen this new model last year and i am craving to have this Car.
the Kia manager offer me to trade in my old car for 285T, and i took this opportunities plus some freebees like matting, steering lock, seat cover, rainvisor and tint. i just trade my old car for the downpayment.
So far i happy with the ride in this Carnival EX lwb.

*blackrider - welcome to the group. enjoy your ride.

*all - umiilaw yung park brake indicator ko whenever tinatapakan ko preno "slightly" harder than normal when slowing down/stopping. sign na ba ito palitin na pads ko?
ano typical mileages nyo when you changed your brake pads? just want to get an idea kung reasonably "normal" yung wear ko. i'm at 36t+ km as of now.

IMHO, if you will use original parts, i don't think it will be a problem regarding warranty.. For example yung fuel filter, I bought one from Goodgear and showed it to Kia Pasay. Wala naman silang problema dun.. Tsaka, paano nila malalaman kung yung mga filters hindi mo binili sa casa, pwede mo namang sabihin na nag iipon ka ng parts kaya bumibili ka ng paisa-isa.

Just make sure to follow yung PMS schedule and let yung CASA service the unit.

36t km for most city driving is ok na...manipis na talaga ang pads and meron ng contact sa sensor ng handbrake...nangyari to sa corolla naman...after brake pads change nawala na ang light sa hand brake..

    Hi Guys,

I'm new here and have been reading your discussions these last few days. Very nice and informative. I'm seriously considering a KIA Carnival Park2 diesel as a second car. Got one REVO DLX diesel since 1998 and still serves me well to date. Somehow my family is dependent on it and I cannot spare three <3> to five <5> days of preventive maintenance <front rear suspensions with some body works.>

Somebody suggested a SERENA but spare parts and the conversion is an issue there. So I'm sticking with SEDONA or PARK 2.

Just would like to thanks you guys for being there. Hope to be sharing with you my experiences later .
