143 amp. where did you get that? The code N70 is another term for 3smf battery. the reason for the 70 in N70 is that it is equivalent to the ampere rating of the battery, +-10amps depending on the quality, i.e. there are n70 batteries that are 70amps,(yung mga 6months-1 year warranty), at meron din na umaabot ng 80-85amps. I will check with my office file tomorrow on what aspect of the n70 is 143. Hindi rin yan ang CCA because the N70's cca is around 400mah.

I checked my files. That 147 number most probably is the reserve capacity( in minutes), not the ampere rating of the battery. Although my files don't show any motolite n70 battery with that exact RC. FYI, Excel has ampere rating of 80 and RC of 155. Gold is 75/133, Gold PP Euro type (din88) is 85/150, Superpower is 80/155.

What does your manual say? What is your oem battery? I don't know with the new carnival. I am an ex-owner of a local sedona. The previous model states it requires N100 battery, which is a 6smf battery. But it has to be the compact type because of engine space constraints. If its the old and new carnival is the same battery requirement, kukulangin yung ampere capacity ng n70. The closest would be what Diesoline suggested, Delkor din88 (which is a european version) with 85amps. Although I am still not sure if this will be sufficient. I've used N70 twice and during that time, I had to rewind my alternator twice, and change it twice as well. Until I put two and two together (and after the alternator supplier told me so, when one of the replacements was under warranty, which made my alternator replacement 3x). I have the specs/battery masterlist of Rocket brand, which is very specific in naming the compact N100 for the carnival.

Initially, Rocket supplier was charging me 5K, hindi pumawag ang kia pasay, to the extend na umabot pa sa columbian, ayun after two weeks, free na..

hay nako, alam kasi ng supplier special type yung battery nila. 18 months? Yung sabi sa akin 12 months lang. I used Atlas instead of Rocket, sold by the same battery distributor dito sa probinsya. Slightly cheaper ang Atlas than the Rocket. Is it any good? I don't know. I sold the sedona a few months after I changed the battery.

    FYI.

    Rocket Model SMF 1000LA (1151K) 12V, 100 AH 20 hr capacity, 80 AH 5 hour capacity, Reserve Capacity 182, Reserve Capacity 182, CCA 870 AH, LxWxH= 330x173x232.

Atlas Battery. Specific for Carnival (JIS Gr #), MF100L, 100 AH 20 hr capacity, 80 AH 5 hour capacity, RC 182, CCA 900 AH, LxWxH = 325x172x200.

    To compare with Motolite:

    Motolite Gold. N70/3smf, 75 AH 20 hr capacity, RC133, LxWxH = 306x171x202
    SuperPower. N70/3smf, 80 20 hr capacity, RC155, LxWxH = 306x171x202

If you want to get the same 100 ampere capacity, you will need Motolite Truckmaster N100/6smf, 110 AH, RC185, LxWxH= 392x180x200.

Sa haba pa lang (length) 392mm for motolite Truckmaster vs Rocket/Atlas of 330, hindi talaga kakasya. Look at the Truckmaster's ampere capacity and reserve capacity and compare to Atlas, di magkalayo.

Lets look at another battery, Megapower. I think someone mentioned this brand.

    3smf/nx120, 85 AH 20 hr capacity, RC 155, CCA 650, LxWxH = 305x174x202.
They don't have maintenance free for 6smf. Their 6smf is only low maintenance type, and is even bigger.

There is an option for motolite. I just don't know if it is locally available.

Motolite Gold PP Low Maintenance European Type.

MGPT110/6TN, 110 AH 20 hr capacity, RC 175, LxWxH = 286x189x172. Its ampere is similar to Rocket, the RC is near to that of Rocket, and the measurements are even more compact.

Si diesoline pala ang nagmention tungkol sa din88 at sa magic power.

Magicpower special type MF battery 6DUU8/din88/58815, 88 AH, RC 155, CCA 345 LxWxH 381x175x175. Kung kasya yung 381mm, check ninyo yung motolite truckmaster kung kakasya pa.
