Sir Yapoy, baka nga sir, pinapa check ko pa how much yung parts, baka papalitan ko na lang ang whole assembly, ganda ngayon ng takbo ng carens ko, feel ko parang brand new ang takbo nya now.
Thats why, yung takbo ng carens ko ay sobrang bagal, slow acceleration, slow shift of gears from 1-2, and then sobrang mausok and sobrang itim lalo na if you are using a/c, ilang beses din na stall ang engine ko when moving in slow speed.
congrats ser, di na daw ba madadaan sa linis linis? at least its not the VGT Solenoid after-all.... another option ser eh pa block mo na lang EGR mo...
mas less gastos....pero mas damaging lang sa environment dahil sa usok nya...saka konti increase ata sa Fuel consumption...
sir^^, di ba yan yung buong egr assembly? ano daw po ang sira, di na ba kayang linisin? few years back when i first had my egr cleaned at kia pampanga, nasabi sa akin nung isang mekaniko na meron daw silang inayos na isang sasakyan na loss of power din, pagtingin nila sa egr e barado na, ginawa nila is binabad lang daw nila sa gasolina, after nun hindi pa naman daw bumabalik ulit( o sa iba na nagpunta, hehehe )
btw, the italian tune up may have did something to my ride, few months back i was experiencing again the hesitation at 2nd and 3rd gear at around 2k rpm, and egr cleaning is the last option, pero when i started the italian tune up doing every week i was surprised the hesitation was gone, its been a week now and it hasnt come back (yet) but still ill have that egr cleaned together with the replacement of my fuel filter come summertime. kahapon sinisilip ko yung egr assembly at gustong gusto ko na talagang kalasin at linisin kaya lang hindi ako kumpleto sa toolsbaka mabitin
on to my next issue: may lagutok sa steering when turning left, low to moderate speed at pag nakatigil, i checked the stabilizer links, tire pressure, universal joint ng steering sa baba ng dashboard firm naman, yung strut bearing ba how to diagnose if kailangan na palitan? any suggestions please or information, na try ko na rin yung i-lift yung left front wheel tapos move up-down at left-right wala namang play, also sometimes i can feel it sa steering wheel

Yup, buong assembly, yung parang tube ay cooler daw ito ng egr, price they quoted is around 30k php for the whole assembly, i ask a nephew of mine in Manila to check sa goodgear and fronte if they have available parts, i also emailed vgt korean parts kng meron din sila nito but wala pa silang reply. Yung egr cooler yata i think walang problema, yung egr valve ang duda ko ang may problem. But if mura lang naman sa manila ang buong assembly, baka palitan ko na lang lahat.
When I first decided to get my Carens way back 2007, I was thinking na "for keeps" na talaga, kaso, every 5 years meron kaming car plan na kailangan kong i-avail. Di naman pwede samin ang 2 cars kasi 1-car garage lang ako. Kawawa naman ung Carens kung iiwan ko lang sa kalye. Besides, yung mapagbe-bentahan ay ida-dagdag ko sa bibilhin ko ngayon na SUV.
Ganyan din mag-isip yung mga buy & sell, sasabihin sayo: " sir, mababa talaga ang resale value ng Kia"
I don't think na mas maliit ang Carens compared to Innova, actually mas spacious pa nga ang Carens. Maliit lang tingnan kasi mas mababa ung height & ground clearance. Imagine nakargahan ko dati ito ng 5 adults + 5 golf bags + 5 garments bag + 5 pasalubong basket from Tagaytay. Na-impress nga mga officemate ko kasi comfortable yung seating positions nila.
Anyway, waiting pa rin ako sa mga direct buyer na alam ang characteristics & real value ng Carens.
Same tayo ng dilemma sir. With its history and all that, mas lalong mahihirapan ako magbenta. Ayoko din sana bitawan yung carens ko pero tapos na yung lilipatan namin na bahay at hindi gaano maganda yung daan papunta dun. Kawawa si Carens pag nagkataon. I am setting my sights on the new Sorento o yung Everest na babagay sa daan (kailangan kasi ng mataas na ground clearance).
For now, pinag iisipan kong mabuti yung mga options ko. Kung may magandang offer, sige benta ko. Or pwede rin as a second option, i trade in ko na lang kung okey naman offer ng Kia for a new Sorento. Third option will be to have the SUV and keep the Carens pero di na siya gaano magagamit dahil nga sa daan at malamang sa kalsada na rin ito ipapark kung sakali. Mas magastos at impractical na ito pero itong third option ang gusto ni misis.
Hindi rin pupwede yung bagong carens dahil mas bumaba pa lalo gc nito.
Tiyaga lang sir. Meron pa rin makakakita ng totoong value ng carens natin.
After 51,287 kms, 5 years, 2 months & 20 days, I finally bade my beloved Red Carens good-bye....
