Gandang madaling araw mga sir! Tempted to buy a 2009 Kia Carens and plan to keep it for max 5 years. Need feedback sana on the its overall perf.

mag 4 years na carens ko next month, ok naman sya sir * 61k kms, basta sundin mo lang yung maintenance wala ka siguro magiging problema, im still using the stock battery pero binabantayan ko na rin baka kasi biglaang di na mag start.

btw, kabibili ko lang ng parts kahapon sa goodgear pasay, fyi na lang.

oil filter = Php 420 ( hyundai oem )
air filter = Php 230 (replacement, parts mall brand )
aircon filter = Php 160 ( replacement, parts mall brand )

also advice ng casa is to change the air filter every 5000km dahil sa madumi hangin dito sa metro manila. mura lang naman air filter.

are there still new models (2011/2012) for carens? haven't seen it in showrooms recently and calling some of them I think they are phasing it out. one claims they will bring a new variant with GAS?

Why not go to a casa muna for a free diagnosis/check-up for your power steering squeaking sound.
Also, check mo rin yung fluid level kung may sufficient fluid pa sa reservoir.
I have not changed or replenish my power steering fluid so wala pa akong idea kung saan ito mabibili.
I read some forums that you can only buy it from KIA/Hyundai dealerships.
Maybe other carens owner may have some idea kung saan ito available.

Just want to ask, san po kaya pwede bumili ng POWER STEERING FLUID for our carens? Nakita ko kasi sa owner's manual na kelangan PSF-4 dapat. 2mingin ako sa mga gas station ng power steering fluid hindi sila PSF-4 compliant. Haven't asked Kia though, but sabi nila mahal daw yun. Parang may sira kasi ang power steering ko eh, I am hearing slight squeaking sounds when I turn the steering wheel left and right and very evident pag mdyo matagal na ako nagddrive. Pag bagong bukas, no noise whatsoever. I am hoping that putting in a new steering fluid would do wonders....

The 2011/2012 models are just facelifted, featuring the tiger nose grill. Aside from that, no major difference from the previous models. BTW, the price is now much less than when I bought my Carens 1 1/2 year ago.

Hi jasperjugan, bluebeard,

I think the parts for the Carens are plenty and we don't need to worry about non production....just like the Kia Pride which ceased in the early 2000's but still with so many parts, the Carens parts will also be around the corner for many years to come.

Some of these are even generic and can be bought on the cheap.

So, no need to hit the panic button at this point in time ,mate.

thanks for the clarification sir , nangyari na rin pala sa akin yan, nag overtake ako tapos nawala yung response, bumaba yung rpm to neutral (800) kahit anong tapak sa accelerator nada, na-solve pala to nung nagpa ECU update ako sa casa pero matagal na yun, last year pa, hindi pa naman nangyayari ulit sa akin. lately napansin ko yung vibration sa engine, buong dashboard ko nanginginig e pag biglang ni-floor ko yung pedal pag mag o overtake, observe ko pa to, twice pa lang kasi nangyari, try ko pansinin yung pag shift/drive style ko

it might be the dirty air filter kaya parang kinakapos sya pag mag o-overtake ako kasi talagang ni-floor ko yung pedal, nung pinalitan ko ng air filter hindi ko na naramdaman, hindi ko kasi matandaan kelan ako huling nagpalit

Aircon problem... baka may ideas kayo

starting from the driver's side vents going to the passenger side vents, pabawas ng pabawas yung lamig. Malakas naman hangin coming from all vents, kaso yung lamig mostly from the driver's side vents lang and hindi na kayang palamigin yung buong kotse.

4 yrs old na pala yung Carens ko.
