over priced talaga sa CASA, kaya ako (after nag expire warranty eh)
at original Hyundai/Kia part sya....
* mang_jose. yes,in house, low down, all the freebies I mentioned. We got our Carens just a few months back. I fully agree with alwayz_yummy that, if ur practical, the Carens is a sure winner, lalo na ngayon na P60/liter na ang gasoline if ur thinking of getting the Sportage. They will have the diesel variation, pero matagal tagal pa un. Outdated? - not totally, mukhang ang kaha lang I think, but the engine, power train, suspension, etc. are modelo at ibang items upgraded pa.
Madali lang mag palit ng fuel filter. Basta observe safety, off ang susi at pasingawin muna ag pressure sa linya (keep away from the fuel line). Wag pakialaman ang high pressure rail!!. After replacement ng fuel filter "on" ang susi para umandar ang fuel transfer pump wag i-start (not in ignition position), do inspection of fuel lines & fittings for leak, rectify as necessary. Kung ok lahat then start engine. Observe.. if all is normal. HTH
Do this at YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Guys,
Just want to ask, san po kaya pwede bumili ng POWER STEERING FLUID for our carens? Haven't asked Kia though, but sabi nila mahal daw yun. Parang may sira kasi ang power steering ko eh, I am hearing slight squeaking sounds when I turn the steering wheel left and right and very evident pag mdyo matagal na ako nagddrive. Pag bagong bukas, no noise whatsoever. I am hoping that putting in a new steering fluid would do wonders....
HTH
In relation to the fuel filter, possible kayang isang source ng hesitation sa power eh baka yung clogged fuel filter? But after a while, bumalik na naman sa normal ang takbo.
I have no choice but to have the pms at the casa. Thanks in advance.
I experienced this hesitation after the 20k pms which means that the fuel filter is replaced already. EGR was also cleaned. Kia Congressional cannot pinpoint the cause of the problem. They tried to replace the VGT actuator but still the hesitation persists at some point. It occurs after the engine has been properly warmed up already but there is no pattern as to when exactly it occurs. Sometimes it does not happen at all. One mechanic suggests to drive it hard to remove the carbon deposits inside the engine. Haven't tried that yet.
Sir the culprit might also lie in the thick carbon deposits at the tailpipe. But I noticed this problem right after I just filled up at a Petron station that's not usually frequented by motorists (wala na akong choice kasi).. anyway, let's try to explore all possible causes.
Ser Hanren, so saglit lang after ka mag EGR cleaning balik sa dati? Yun na din lang natitira kong advice. High revs para mabawasan carbon sa system.
May nakapagpalit na ba ng A/C Compressor Pulley Bearing? Matagal ba itong gawin?
My Carens is 1 1/2 year old with 14000K on the odo.
TIA
