dual mass flywheel is there to absorb the enormous torque produced by the engine so as not to damage the transmission, the dual mass flywheel partially absorbs the torque and slowly transmit it to the transmission

Thanks sir.

Good morning mga sir! Nag PMS po ako this morning. 30k pms. They advised to replace the brake pads. Its priced 5,800 here in cebu. Does it really cost this much? Pahelp po if magkano.

I also have a knocking sound problem in rough roads. Most probably they are going to advice me to replace another part. I will update asap. Thanks!

The stabilizer links were replaced and nawala tlaga ung knocking sound. Ung brakepads nlng ung problem ko. Our place is inclined so i would understand why the front brakepads are to be replaced already.

ang note ko lang sa DMF na 'yan. its a double edged sword.... on the one hand, ok ang refinement nya dahil much reduced yung vibration etc..... pero OTH sirain naman sya.....kahit sa VW & other car site forums madami case ng ganyan....ang tanong ko lang eh...ang mga Automatic trannys ba meron din nito o wala?

Thanks po sa information. Mind if I ask what brakepads are you using now?

Mga sir, i looked for bendix brakepads for carens this afternoon (FRONT). I found a shop and bought one. Unfortunately, the bendix pads is smaller than the original. But I was refunded with the amount (980 PHP ). Other brands are also available like NUVO, PART-MALL korean brand and R-SPEC. Which do you think should i get? I dont think these other brands are reliable. Thanks po sa help mga sir!

Bendix General CT. I dont know why its smaller. Our carens is 2007 model. Does the later carens have smaller brakepads?

I think being in the market for 5 years already, availability of parts won't be that hard to find. Si Fronte (Old Banawe) and Goodgear (Pasay) Sister companies sila actually, sila yung mga kilala pagdating sa Korean cars, kasi isa sila sa mga matagal na nagpapadating ng pyesa. Yung mga hard to find parts subject to order, pero yung mga consumables like oil/fuel/air filter, brake pads, lagi yan sila meron. They're also not expensive! They have good mechanics too!

Ser, lahat talaga ng Casa overpriced. My suggestion dont buy those unknown brands its too risky. If i were u i'd buy the bullet this time and get fm casa till u found an exact replacement

Don't buy R-Spec, maingay. I am not sure though kung meron na ang Vetto na brand for Kia Carens. It's non-asbestos na so nde maingay and these are being used sa mga new cars ng Kia and Hyundai, and other brands as well like BMW and Chysler. Ang downside is for non-asbestos is that madaling dumumi ang mags mu, pero mas tahimik and hindi kakainin ang discs mu. If you have other brands, ask them kung may non-asbestos sila na brake pads

I searched almost all autosupply shops looking for the Bendix replacement for Carens. All the GCT Bendix (product number 1754) are really smaller compared to the original ones. Is there someone who's using the GCT Bendix for their Carens? How come it doesn't fit mine even if the exact product as indicated in their catalog is available. Did Bendix go wrong in replicating its size? or does Kia Carens' have different break pad sizes depending on the yeat model? Please enlighten me.

Ung PARTS MALL is non asbestos po. Its the Korean replacement and it is exactly the same size sa original, but i would still want to go for Bendix. Kaso wla tlaga. Im still thinking and looking for answers.

I will post the pics on the difference po sa Bendix na pads tonight. Also the pictures from the Bendix catalog.

    Thank you sir.

Here are the pictures from the bendix brakepads. The blue trace on the paper is from the original pads.

(DB1754) for the front pads and (DB 1466 for the rear)

Its really smaller. I was able to try 4 shops who has this item. All were smaller but some other brands fits well. *sigh*

brake pads are vital component of our rides, better get original pads for now maybe you will have enough time to look for replacement next time
