Pano bang ang proper start up ng carens in the morning at proper shutdown? Wala ako masyado alam sa diesel

Just like any other diesel engine, huwag i-hataw agad pag start pa lang ng engine. Pag shut-down, cool down mo muna ang diesel engine ng 1-2 mins. during a long drive or high speed drive.

at ang diesel dapat hinahataw more often thana NA gasoline engine.. para madislodge mga particulates sa engine--part ng decarbonizing yun..

kailangan ma check sa diagnostic software ng kia. sa pms mo pa check mo kung updated yung ecu.

a ganun ba yun.. tawag ko nga sa SA ko sa quirino.. kahit matrapik o malayo, di pa kasi ako nakapunta doon na di ako ang nauuna.. bihira nagpapagawa kasi dun.... may other reason pa ba bakit bihira nagpapagawa dun?

2011 carens ko, kailangan na kayan i-firmware upgrade? paano malalaman kung latest

Malalaman po yan sa sofware gamit nila (DBS yata). Once it is plugged in they would know what is your current ECU firmware.

We are considering to get a Carens. My wife fell in love with it's beauty after she saw one. We are planning to get a Caren 2.0 LX AT. Based on what I've read on the previous pages, medyo nagdadalawang isip ako. What can you tell me para malawala ang pagsesecond thoughts ko about this car?

Another question is, besides the prices what significant differences do EX AT and LX AT have? Nung kumuha ba kayo ng Carens anong package ang binigay ng dealer? Discounts? Saang dealer maganda pumunta? Aftersales services ng Kia?

I am a Carens owner. The car will turn five this august. Very happy owner here. Your wife will really love it since it is spacious, diesel and it runs fast. I never had any problem with it since day 1. At first I am also hesitant to get it since it is Kia. After 4 years, I also bought the Sorento. The Carens really changed my impression about Kia. I just don't know how to post pics, just to encourage you. Just follow the proper shut down and maintainance. Wait for the glow plug to disappear before fully starting the engine.
It is just boring to own since you would not need to change anything, because it is aesthetically appealing; unless you are the type who would like their car to look like a rolling circus. Test drive one ( diesel pls), it will never disappoint you.

Listen to your wife, just like what I did 4.5 years ago. You will never regret it.

grabe naman yung nakasira nyan.. i've compared the plastics of our kia carens to our mitsu adventure... for almost the same price of 800 k ( dating price ng carens way back 2008) eh hamak na makapal at durable at solid ang plastics ng carens.. yung sa adventure nga pakiramdam ko mababali eh yung sa carens matigas.. kaya para masira mo yan excessive force talaga yung nag bukas...

Mine will be four years old by the end of June this year. Still, I am happy and contented with my decision to buy it. Of course, there are issues pero lahat naman ng car brands may issues diba? Sometimes, these issues are not directly the result of factory design and build. For example, pag di mo sinunod yung prescribed maintenance schedules at proper operations, magkakaroon ng problema later on. BY the way, at that time that I got it, it came with free LTO registration, free car mats, free tints, free insurance (first year only), free seat covers.


It has served my family well. We use it as our daily ride and for out of town trips. The only minor issue with the engine so far was with the dirty EGR (most likely ang cause dito eh yung quality ng diesel natin dito) which was already cleaned and it is now performing like it used to be. Binangga ng jeep ang front bumper ng Carens ko last February and within 1 week after I left it at the casa, the whole bumper was replaced (c/o insurance) and repainted like new.

So if I were you, wag ka muna magdecide. Test drive muna. Then pag okey na, then haggle for a good deal from different dealers. Dapat ma meet din nya ang needs ng family mo.

I bought my Carens CRDI EX A/T 2007 pa have not encountered any major problems. Maganda pa hatak especially after change of fule filter. Prices now are at 2007 level, I think. Reason I believe is because the Carens is now being phased out in the US (known as Rondo). 2012 Body and engine is still the same with some enhancements in grill, emblem, etc. Consider parts availability in the long run.
Still, I love my Carens!!!

Kami po 1.5 years old na Carens namin, despite some turbo issues very happy naman ako sa Carens.
Also, yung turbo namin free lang din naman nakuha, sobrang kulit naman kasi ng Mom ko.

check nyo kung may ingay pa din ang pang ilalim while braking sa mga lubak... sa tingin ko kasi yung ingay ng pang ilalim is coming from the calipers... brake calipers are prone sa tagatak na ingay... 4 calipers yan... silicone grease lang ang katapat nyan lalagyan yung mga caliper bolts
