my carens will be three years this June. however, i noticed a 'kalampag' when running on paved but roughly finished roads. i had it checked and the mechanic said i need to change the front and rear stabilizer links and front and rear stabilizer bar bushings.
anybody experienced this also?
approximately how much cost for the parts?
finally, was anybody able to have these parts replaced under warranty considering that my carens hasn't reached 3 years yet?
thanks for you inputs.

April 11th, 2011 08:22 PM #454The KIA-Alabang mechanic initially diagnosed worn out front stab links for the 3-month old Carens. Fortunately, the "kalampag" was due to a loose nut for the left front shock absorber. It was just re-tightened and ok na sya. Stab links are usually worn out after 5 years so have yours replaced since your car is still under warranty.

Okay, after reading this http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-carens...eadlights.html I decided to change the headlight by myself.
You only need a 10mm box wrench, a phillips screwdriver (just in case, explained in 5a below) a rag to protect your bumper and a little D-I-Y intuition.
1. Pop the hood!
2. take-off the connector by pinching the tab on the side.
3. Locate the 2- 10mm bolts securing the headlight assembly.
4. Untighten these 2 bolts.
5. Pull-out the headlight assembly. Madali lang naman, konting tulak lang papalabas.
5a. If you find it a little tight, you could unscrew the 2-phillips screw head.
6. Once the headlight assembly is out, turn the headlight cap counter-clockwise and you will see the H7 type bulb, remove the connector and you're ready to replace it!
Costs:
P135- 1 pc. H7 55w bulb
P5- 2 sticks Marlboro lights
Time- less than 15 mins!
HTH!

I finally found the time to cut up our Carens' fuel filter. Here's the picture:
Had my 2014 Altis repaired by Tireman PH in Gen. Trias, Cavite last Wednesday. Nawala na yun...
