    4 years na carens ko so far aircon pulley palang pinagawa ko. wala pang problem encounter sa engine. ok parin performance niya.
    pero kailangan ng mag palit ng mga suspension bushing may crack na kasi

    Sir yun na nga rin ang inisip ko.. Kaso nasa labas ako kaya di ko noon matingnan ng sarili ko.. Dumating kuya ko at pina tingnan ko po uli.. Kapag po bina-by pass nila ang turbo umaandar po.. Meaning ang supply air to the engine ay hindi na pinadaan sa turbo nag natural aspiration po sila kaya umandar ang car. Taos po napansin nila kuya na lumalabas na ang usok sa air cleaner ng car at pati po ang langis ay tumatagas narin sa turbo.. So samalamang ang exhaust side at scavenging side po ng turbo at nagpang-abot na po.. At ang langis na tumagas malamang ay sira narin ang sealing ng lubrication..
    Pag napalitan ko na po sang turbo ipapasama ko na linis ang EGR..
    Update ko nalang po sila sa status ng carens ko...
    Ay sa tingin ko po pala kaya nagstall o basta nalang tumigil at ayaw na umandar ay sa hahilang wala na pong hangin na punapasok sa makina, sa palagay ko lang po. kasi nga kung di na umiikot ang turbine. Umiikot naman po ang engine, ayaw lang umandar..
    Yun lang po..

    sir, inabot din ng Php 4k+, brake cleaning, fuel filter at egr cleaning

    i am checking the coolant reservoir, ok naman sya, ni-check ko after ko gamitin ang car nasa F level naman yung reservoir pero ill keep monitoring, btw, nawala yung isang clip sa air filter housing ko, may nabibili bang ganun lang?

    Okey sir. Mura lang pala. Yung coolant ko rin balik na sa normal at konti lang naman dinagdag ko after nung egr cleaning. Yung isang clip sa air filter ko nahulog at di ko pa rin napapalitan. Parang mahirap maghanap ng ganong type na clip.

    Sir, tinawagan po ng kuya ko lahat pero wala po silang stock, huhuhu..
    Pupunta naman po si kuya sa Monday sa Manila kaya maghahanap pa sya sa iba.
    Baka po mayroon pa kayong ibang alam na source?

    well tuned carens... 2011 LX-AT

    city: best 7-8km/l, worst, 5km/l.. loyal petron ako.. diesel max or turbo diesel

    urban-highway (25%urban, 75% highway)-- best so far: 18-19km/l worst-10km/l.. cruising at 1500-2500rpm on 4th gear( equivalent in 6th in manual tranny) lang, full load.. roughly 75-90km/hr cruising speed.

    Mga sirs,

    We are considering to get a Carens. My wife fell in love with it's beauty after she saw one. We are planning to get a Caren 2.0 LX AT. Based on what I've read on the previous pages, medyo nagdadalawang isip ako. What can you tell me para malawala ang pagsesecond thoughts ko about this car?

    Another question is, besides the prices what significant differences do EX AT and LX AT have? Nung kumuha ba kayo ng Carens anong package ang binigay ng dealer? Discounts? Saang dealer maganda pumunta? Aftersales services ng Kia?

    Update on my engine problem (read my post in page 81)

    Its has been almost a month since the leak on the hose on the fuel filter was repaired. Since then i never experienced the problem on the engine again. I also had my EGR cleaned last october 2011 and replaced my fuel filter last January (24k+ ODO). The engine has not died since then. Thank God. I think it is now safe for me to say that the problem is from my dirty fuel filter and EGR and it may have busted my turbo in the longer run. My recommendations for my fellow Carens lovers is to replace their fuel filter every 20k and to have their EGR get cleaned as well. Also update your ECU to its latest firmware using the diagnostic software in KIA. This may avoid you from spending so much for a buster T/C. Drive safely guys! Godbless!

    Sir dont worry about these problems. Atleast you already know how to avoid it. We love our carens. Simple pero ang bangis kung humataw. Go na sir. Test drive and feel the difference. Enjoy!

    Ano na update dito sir?

    Kung wala pang resulta I suggest remove & and draw out the turbo charger from engine bay. Once out, test the rotor assy rotation by hand. Dapat magaan at swabe umikot, walang sabit, may bwelo ang ikot hindi hihinto agad, no wiggle, no excessive horizontal thrust and no physical defect ang rotor blades both turbine & compressor side. In other words be sure 100% that the turbo charger is indeed defective other wise look somewhere else the source of trouble. Good luck. HTH

    wala nang EX, LX nalang...

    eto masasabi ko-- observe proper CRDi shutdown and startup in the morning... unlearn what you know sa kotse, di ito katulad ng previous gasoline car mo or old-school diesel. daming electronics nito. stick to 1 fuel--i observed na ok petron diesel..

    masaya ako sa carens...

    proper shutdown for vgt diesel engine carens is to idle the engine at least one minute. never rev the engine before shutting down.

    start up? huwag mo nang i hataw kaaagad
