    Sir, 100% correct iyan, dahil nangyari na sa akin, how much daw po ba ang damaged, medyo mahal iyan nasa almost 10K kaso sinindikato lang sa akin bayad ako ng 5K. no receipt kaya medyo risk so far ok naman, mahigit na 1 yr.

    actually 3,500 lang unang charge ng KIA Pasig, but they said kaya na rin 2,500. But my mother is really pushy so they'll give it for free nalang.

    Kia North EDSA's diagnosis was turbo but they said they didn't wanna touch my unit, so I brought it back to Kia Pasig. Their diagnosis is aircon pulley bearing naman.. hmm.. Has anyone experienced problems with that?
    Kumusta na sir carens nyo, ok na? turbo talaga ba pinalitan?

    Whistling sound sa turbo..baka singaw lang ang hose connector sa pagitan ng turbo & manifold ng makina. (Usually tanggal ang hose clip). Maririnig ang sipol na malakas pag mataas rpm ng makina at rpm ay ayaw na tumaas, hirap na talaga, uusok ang tambutso.
    Obserbahan turbo na umaandar makina (car at stop), rev high to max rpm, observe turbo charger for vibration and noise. If noise is like scratching metal and vibration is noticeable in the turbo charger itself then TC in defective. If the noise is whistling air then look for leakage between discharge side of TC compressor and engine intake manifold, there's should be leak somewhere.

    Only whistling sound and stuck rpm ang nangyari sa carens namin. Supposedly the turbo was replaced but the stuck rpm problem never got fixed (tested it out tonight) and recently the whistling sound came back and a few days later the sound became worse. That's when they said we needed a new aircon pulley bearing. thanks or the help.

    Hi mga Sir,

    Just got my 2011 Carens LX MT last week and I'm very excited as this is also my first car. Been reading a lot for the last weeks and this thread is very informative.
    Tanong lng po. Advise saken ng dealer na 5000km or 5 months ang first PMS and yun din ang stated sa manual. Pero usually po 1000kms ang first PMS dba? Should I keep to the 5000km first PMS or have it check after 1000km?
    Tanong ko din po how much and where to get leather seats and rear spoilers for my new Carens.

    Sakin every 5000km pms. Also, no pms on first 1000km for korean cars.

    I think it's standard to all makers ang first 1000 KM PMS, usually it's free.

    My advice drive your carens to the dealership for your first 1000 km PMS. Kailangan yan para ma change oil, matanggal ang mga accumulated metal particles due to engine break-in. Some claim they got much better engine response & improve FC after their first change oil.

    Just my one cent unsolicited advice po.

    Pwede mo observahan ang turbo kung may diperinsya tulad ng sinabi ko sa previous post. Kung no symptom as I said then it's good, yung mismong rotor assy & bearing must be ok. Regarding stuck rpm: possible na ayaw na mag increase ang speed ng turbo charger kaya walang dagdag na hangin sa makina kaya ayaw na rin tumaas ang rpm due to insufficient oxygen to support combustion. Isang posibilidad ay nag malfunction ang variable nozzle vanes ng turbo charger kaya ang exhaust gas ay hindi naka tutuk ng maayos sa turbine blades para tumaas ang revolution. Pa check mo ang vgt actuator (don't know what is really the name of this). Wag na rin kalimutan check/clean ang egr. Low rpm and black smoke din ang symptom nito.

    Better change the whole clutch/pulley assy. Kahit palitan ang bearing kung may damage ang pulley maingay pa rin yan. I learned my lesson on this before. HTH

    Leather seats....try "leather one auto seats", sa BF homes PH 1,Paranaque. They are good. For the Carens they charge
    8.5k.
    Rear spoilers.....try banawe
    PMS.....it would be good for you to go to your dealer after 1000km.

    Hello, favor naman po. I have a picture of two Kia Carens (one of which is mine) which I entered in a Kia Paparazzi contest of the Kia Motors Philippines.     Hi sir weisshorn, our carens is a/t so no clutch. And I don't know if I can replace the pulley assy., because my mom doesn't wanna pay for repairs :| that's because the car has been in and out of the casa even though it isn't that old. And she also insist we use it while we're waiting for the free replacement aircon pulley bearing, is that okay? Tapos parang wala naman yung scratching metal noise and vibration when I tried to rev high while parked. Sorry I'm not really sure, I don't really know much about cars. This is the first car that I'm taking care of, or at least try to because I can't take care of the car how I want to because of my mom lol..

    do bengmd and valskie still frequents the board? hingi lang sana ako ng feedback regarding the rubber hose na inilagay sa coil spring, or anyone who has done it, how is it now after 2-3 years? and confirm ko na din if mali-lift ba yung rear ng kahit konti, medyo ang laki na kasi ng drop ng rear ko kesa sa front e. I was also searching for CrdiVGT regarding the spacers kaya lang parang hindi na din sya active.

    I've try that sa Carens ko, pero sa front spring ko lang nilagyan. More of a protection to the shocks.
    Not sure kung makakatulong ito para ma-lift yung rear even a little.

    no sir but ive seen that used more on a fortuner and malaki daw ang nabawas sa tagtag, how was it sir nung kinabit sa carens mo?

    to Seymorebutts, ako po yung kumuha sa unit ni CRDiVGT and yes may machined piece sya naka-insert sa rear springs and di nga sag sa rear suspension.... oo suggest ko na lang try mo yung mmay nag-suggest sa taas na O-Sulee spring cushion....nakita ko na sya parang high-silicon content rubber material gamit nya.... it would most likely give your rear some lift in addition to the suspension bottoming out protection...
