I suspect you got your carens around Decemeber of last year? the temperature today is much warmer and as you can observe carens has huge glass surface area compared to other cars. So what you are experiencing might just be normal. You can try at early in the morning though to test your #2 setting

i just bought my carens lx a/t last may 10, 2008.
my odometer is now 880km.
my FCs for the 1st 3 full tanks are: 8.8, 10.15 and 7.7 km/L, city driving.

Looks like normal nga ang FC na around 7-9. And i would assume that most of us is using petron diesel.

I'm currently comparing the FC and peso per km of my Carens to my 1.3S CVT City (since diesel vs gas, kailangan peso/km, di pwedeng straight FC to FC).. i'm getting 8km/l sa Carens and 10km/l sa City on pure city driving..

Carens: 48PhP per L / 8 km per L = 6 PhP/km
City: 54PhP per L / 10 km per L = 5.4 PhP/km

Mukhang mas matipid pa rin ang City.. although I enjoy driving the Carens more..

Re tint, i had 3m medium dark tint installed in my Carens pero di ko na tinanggal yung original na tint sa windows.. which was 3m na parang light magic tint. So pinatong lang yung medium dark tint on the stock tint. The result was a dark-chrome like finish on the outside but still good visibility inside.

had the same experience at around 12k, what they did was to replace my air filter...bumalik naman...but at around 22k, only the left driver side vent is cold, the rest blower lang and walang lamig...this time said its freon naman daw, its back to normal for now...

so this might b a common prob sa carens natin, hope it wont affect a majority of d units sold here. will have it chekd sa 10k PMS which s now overdue by 600+ kms tnx sir JuneT

Try mo shell..mga 10% ang difference saved against petron when i tried it. I don't gas up just anywhere.

WOW! Nice bro! You changed your mags immediately after getting it? Did it have Kia Signet's nod? Meaning, will it still be under warranty?

This is good news bro! However, it kinda reveals that the supposed price increase might have simply been a marketing strategy on Columbian's part... WHICH IMHO, was a bad move. Some people may have instantly turned away from Kia after hearing about the price increase, not knowing that if they actually go to the dealers, they would still be offered to previous prices... Sayang yung potential clients nila!
