2007 Kia Carens [ARCHIVE]

Natawa ako sa LAHAT ng posts ninyo, wondering where I was!

Hehehe... Sir Bogart and Vinrem was sort-of-right... I took my family out for a nearby out-of-town daytrip to Island Cove in Cavite last Sunday... Yun lang naman... on the other days, we went to the usual places like Megamall and other places around the Metro... still getting the feel (and smell) of a brand new car!

Oh, bro JuneT, yes that was my ride that you saw when you went to Kia Pasig!


Anyhow, enough of the talk... here are some pics of my new Carens:

Here is the last batch. Just two more pics...

The first is a close-up of my freebie window rain guards. I think it looks really good on my Carens...



The second is for the universal cargo mat/liner that I bought over the weekend... As you can see in the photo below, it's more than enough to cover the entire cargo bay (with the 3rd row seats down)... the middle portion has a "well" of sorts that will help prevent liquids from spilling over... Although the cargo liner would look really good if I actually trim off the excess at the front (against the 2nd row) and on the sides (the excess on the sides are folded under while the excess in front is drooping down from the back of the 2nd row), I'm really hesitant to do so because the excess will actually serve as added protection to the back of the 2nd row and the cargo sides if needed. What do you guys think?

By the way, I bought this large universal cargo liner from Concorde in Megamall for P2,299.75. A bit expensive but I think it's worth it. Sayang lang walang beige color:

I suggest don't cut the excess. As you've said it will serve its purpose later on, sayang naman yung added protection. I used what the other guys did, DIY rubber matting which I bought from Ace hardware. I did cut-out the excess coz it's so obvious and I had to cut out the section para dun sa side. It turned out ok. Impressed nga officemates ko sa pagka-cut coz hindi daw halatang naka-separate pala yung para sa side and almost same color pa ng carseat ;)

Pre, ano ba talaga ang PMS ng CRDi carens? Every 5tkm or 10tkm? mine was always 5tkm but using only a Petron oil. Synthetic ba gamit mo kaya 10tkm?

Sir mqavila, congrats ulit!!! ganda carens natin ah hehehehe, ganda talaga ng EX, kung dati may budget lang talaga ako, EX din kukunin ko sana, anyways, satisfied na ako sa LX hehehehe, musta bagong ride natin???

At current prices, the gas EX A/T is P1,005,000 while the CRDi EX A/T is P1,150,000. A whopping P145,000 price difference!

Anyhow, just to let you guys know...

MY CARENS IS FINALLY HERE!!! WOOHOO!!!! the unit just got delivered here in our office! Happy weekend for me! Yessirree!! :D

i did replace mine with bosch horns. mahina nga talaga yung stock. hindi ka papansinin ng mga bus sa edsa!

what i did was to have kia signet mandaluyong install it for me. konting wiring din. bring your own relay with the socket para maganda. i think they charged me P800 for labor. at least "warranty" pa.

Black and silver have montana gray interiors whilst red and white have beige ones. Dunno with the other available colors.

Thanks po. I got this idea from this forum siguro somewhere on the 50th-70th page. Obvious ba na matagal na akong nakikisali. The forum really helped a lot, imagine I read from page 1 last year 3rd week of November. Ayun sa sobrang convinced, when I got back from the states, Kia Cubao and Libis lang kami pumunta. No need for the SA to explain or brag about the Carens since we know a lot of things about it na. December 11, 2007 we got our unit... Ngayon addict na akong magbasa ng forum. ;)
