So far, my Carens has logged in 14,500 kms. So far, no major problems so far. However, I noted the following:

• Kalampag – Kung minsan, inisip ko paranoid lang ako. Nararamdaman ko na may kalabog pero yung mga passengers ko wala. Kung minsan, nawawala.
• ‘Tok’ sound – bumabalik balik ito every time I turn the steering wheel at a wide angle to the left.
• Tumama na ako sa mga paso ng halaman so may mga gasgas na sa bumper.
• Yung low ground clearance hindi na major issue sa akin because I make it a point to slow down on humps and potholes.
• A/C is fine. Cooling power has never been great.
• My parking is downhill. Kinakailangan kong pa adjust ang footbrake dahil mabilis lumuwang.
• I’m not my usual driving self whenever I use it di tulad nung mga dati kong naging sasakyan. Naging ugali ko na ang humataw at makipag habulan sa mga sasakyan ngayon.
• I’m beginning to lose trust in the after sales support based on feedbacks Lalo na at hindi maalaga ang “mother” ng Kia dito sa Pinas.
• Ganda ng ride– based on comments from 2nd and 3rd row passengers. Hindi daw gaano nararamdaman ang mga bato sa daan.
• Hirap magbalik ng car seat cover sa third row seats
• Madaling madumihan yung interior (beige kasi)

almost two weeks na wala pa rin yung door mechanism ko. Ok ang kia carens kaso ang problema yung after sales service hindi ko alam kung sa kia congressional lang ang pangit baka sa iba ok, dun kasi ako nag papapms kaya dun ko dinadala. next time subukan ko sa iba any suggestion kung san maganda, kasi nadala na ako sa kia congressional walang kwenta doon.

Warranty claims is really a pain in the ass even from other dealers especially if there is a part that needs to be replaced because they still have to order them. Any other bad experience from Congressional aside from the warranty problem?

Reading post on warranty claims scares me a bit. About a week ago I said I don't experience any problems with the carens but just last week the suspension got worse and I think it will need checking real soon.

Isasabay ko na sa 25K PMS. Sana maayos ng walang problem.

- 4 michelin Tires /AUX input on right side
- JVC HU - clear ng speaker at lakas ng bass/ di ko pa lang matingnan brand ng speakers

mine is 2008 ex. yes it has 4 michelin tires, jvc unit with aux input.

others are roof rails with crossbar, 2nd row seats(60:40 split)

yes it can slide forward and fold flat for more cargo space.

yung 2009 model na nakita ko isang dealer the second row seat is already bench type seat

Bought my EX January 2008 with 4 Hankook tires. Alarm system is original Korean unit "daw". Thus, there is no auto door lock when starting the car engine. No auto door lock either when speed reaches 40kph unlike the Winterpine alarm system of the 2007 models.

sir bluebeard lahat ng ride natin orig from korea ang power lock, naka built in sa locking mechanism kaya pangit sya kasi pag nasira mahirap gawin at hindi basta basta pwedeng paltan ng ibang actuator kailangan yung orig din ang ipapalit mo.

tinext na ako ng kia congressional dumating na daw yung pyesa, baka sa saturday na ako pumunta busy kasi sa pag hatid sundo ng mga bata.

mga sir may 2009 model na ba? how's the specs compared to 2007 & 2008? nadagdagan ba ng nabawas na accessories. gusto ko p nman sanang mag-acquire nito real soon. c sir ace8tan ba nasa kia signet p rin. planning to visit him dis saturday.
any idea kung may abs na yung crdi ex a/t nila or is abs still exclusive sa caren's big sis na carnival?

gusto sana namin trade-in old car namin for a carens lx m/t. di kaya masyadong overpriced ang carens that is 1.1mil for the lx m/t?

parang mahal siya masyado compared sa other vehicles na diesel to think wala pa siyang airbag. hehe

mahal nga siya. pero kung mataas naman trade in value ng car mo sa kia dealers, ok na siguro. i suggest try mo muna pa appraise car mo sa ibang brand then compare sa appraisal ng kia.

if we're not convinced with kia's appraisal, then marami pa naman other brands in the market. we're also eyeing for the tucson cvvt m/t. sana lang na makaabot pa kami sa remaining stocks pag meron nang kwarta. hehe

i think it's columbian because the 5yr or 160k km warranty is posted on kia philippines website.

Wow so they have finally followed Korean sister Hyundai pero they made it better its 160,000km as opposed to Hyundai's 100,000km. But for me it does not matter I don't rack that much mileage anyway so I will treat it as equal na lang...
