Sir I've been using Petron Diesel Max for years, wala pa naman akong naencounter na similar problem. I'm using Caltex Diesel now, nakaka 14Km/L kasi ako on my A/T.

Someone's probably already said this but I'll repeat it anyway. I always keep my fuel tank on full or 3/4 full at least. This minimizes the amount of air in the tank which may contain water vapor. When the climate is cold any water vapor trapped in your tank will condense, become water and possibly get into your fuel filter.

The problem was not the Petron Diesel Max but the Petron Diesel Booster (about a 180 ml plastic container) that I always add every time I fill up my tank. At least that's what the tech people theorized. In fact I'm still using Petron Diesel Max until now as I don't much like the Caltex Diesel Wala nang Diesel Boosters for me from now on though

*waterboy1815, 'pre am doing DIY my dmax engine washing monthly or depende gaano na kadumi. siguraduhin mo lang balutin ng plastic ang buong alternator at fuse box beside the battery.

ihandspray ko muna ng krudo ang mga sulok2x or by paint brush then after a few mins kung tunaw na ang grimes, hose down with tap water. mas maganda kung meron kang pressure washer dahil fully atomized ang spary ng nozzle.

my way of cleaning ng intercooler, radiator and air-con condenser fins soap and water lang at finish with air blowing with vespa air compressor at 5 bar.
