Hi guys.. finally Im back.. miss ko na talaga Dmax threads... Guys baka meron sa inyo interested ng stock Grille ng 08 dmax. yung chrome -plated. nag palit kasi ako ng grille and sayang yung original kung hindi gagamitin... just give me ur best offer.

Question lang po sa Dmax owners.
May nasira na po ba na injection pump (VP44) sa inyo?
At what mileage did it happen?
Other causes if ever?

Well about injection pumps, I had the scare of my life about a month ago.

Mine is a '05 LS Dmax on its 38thK. One day it just started 'hicupping' when the rpm reaches 1.5k and goes on as if nothing happened after a split second...then again on its 2k rpm, hicupps again and then wala na. Smooth na all the way. Had it check in our local dealer and said its just the dirty fuel system , so we changed the two fuel filters(originals). Well it didn't help.

Now they're talking of fuel injection pumps and that really scared me as I'm passed mywarranty period of two years already. Since the local dealer can't do anything about it, I have to bring my unit to Isuzu Cebu (I'm based in Negros Or.). Fortunately they were able to clean the fuel system, including the injectors (?) in just a days work and its back to normal again.

The verdict?--don't use fuel additives! I've been using petron XCS added with petron fuel boosters since the day I got my unit and this is what I got. THe theory is that the additives really cleanse the fuel but the tiny winy dirt it actually removes passes through the filters and on to the injectors and gets stuck there, thereby giving all those problems---in theory of course.

I plan to go there within this month for servicing

ang fuel/water separator ng dmax natin nasa underchassis left side tapat ng driver, denidrain 'to regularly, buksan mo lang ang maliit na valve sa bottom nya. paagasin mo lang ng konti at makita mo visually kung may tubig..

Yup Dieseldude ----- I check the separators regularly too. So many other possibilities but it seems sa akin lang nangyari 'to. And one very logical explanation must be the diesel power boosters effect which as I have said i've been using for almost three years--wala syang output nang dirt or impurities na in theory na reremove nya...

Memphis Raines - I'm with Isuzu Mandaue bai, not with Ayala. Ka group nang Mandaue and local dealer natin dito sa Dumaguete so they schedule it in advance here before I go and jump to the other island By the way, I'm still waiting for the OME shocks from ARB. I'm sure ok na iyon within this coming week -- padala gihapon sa Ceres. Thanks a milion again man!

sir, unit ko is 2007 Global Dmax LT and FC niya mixed highway and city driving (Mon to Fri highway and weekend city) is 14 km/liter, also, i'm using 255 70R15 Falken tires, ODO ko ngayon nasa 4000+ Km, hindi ko lang alam FC nang LX, maybe somebody can give you the data for comparison, FYI.

Mine is LX M/T....42 days pa lang...average ko 12.3km/liter (Aguinaldo Hi-way Cavite).....ts like driving in Roxas Blvd. im gonna have my 1st 1,500km check up tomorrow. Hay salamat at nagkaron din me ng time makapagpost dito , too busy kc. Kamusta sa lahat ng guys! About my LX well eto stock na stock pa rin, no time to go to Banaue to buy accessories....lolz

naku..dapat pala dinedrain yun..never pa naddrain yun eversince eh..yung maliit lang na valve sa ilalim bubuksan then ok na yun??di na kelangan ibleed or something??

another question..fflush ko na kasi read ko eh..question is ilan liters ang need na coolant??nakalagay kasi sa manual 10li capacity ng radiator natin..so dapat 5li ng coolant and 5 li distilled water???

petron diesel max nakakapag clog ng fuel system???ako diesel max gamit ko eversince din no problems so far..

SIr rna800, I think ganyan din ato lahat ng Hyundai units. You need to press the clutch to start. Yung starex ko kasi ganyan din. Ano kaya benefits of pressing the clutch when starting....

Same with cars from the US. It is there for safety purposes. You cannot start your car while in gear.

bago pa lamang po ako d2 sa thread..first time ko po na mag post ng letter..
mga almost 2 months na po akong nakikibasa sa mga ideas n comments re dmax... nagka interest po ako na mag join d2 sa thread ... kc po ay isuzu user din po ako... kaya lang po yung lumang model.. 1996.. eto po yung last model na nirelease bago lumabas ang fuego sa market... sabi po nila ay eto po yata yung galing japan...until now ay gamit ko pa ang crew cab na'to... halos 13 yrs na.... at masasabi kong satisfied po talaga ako... maliban sa usual na mga paliting parts (i.e. filters, batteries, tyres/rims) halos lahat po ay original parts pa lahat...kahit yung hoses & belts.. orig pa po lahat...at matipid parin po siya sa fuel...

iniisip ko narin pong kumuha ng dmax... medyo matagal na akong di napapasyal sa quezon av.. kung saan nakuha ko po yung 1st isuzu ko..
tanong ko lang po... meron na po bang 2009 dmax or next year pa po ang release nito... tnx n rgds po sa lahat...

Sir I've been using Petron Diesel Max for years, wala pa naman akong naencounter na similar problem. I'm using Caltex Diesel now, nakaka 14Km/L kasi ako on my A/T.

Someone's probably already said this but I'll repeat it anyway. I always keep my fuel tank on full or 3/4 full at least. This minimizes the amount of air in the tank which may contain water vapor. When the climate is cold any water vapor trapped in your tank will condense, become water and possibly get into your fuel filter.

Welcome to this thread! I was in Isuzu Q. Ave this morning to have my 5k kms PMS. I went in the showroom and talked with my agent, he said what they have is still the 2008 and he doesn't have any idea when they will release the 2009 model. They don't even have the LS SE in their showroom. Anyways, he told me that there's not much difference between LS and LS SE.
