parang d ko type maglagay ng stepboards ah. even up to now ayaw ko maglagay na kahit ano external accessory sa santa fe ko. I still love staring at it sa garage namin kahit stock lang.

the mudguards would do any justice either, I think it will ruin the sportiness image.

    to me naman.....
mudguard- i dont like it either. you wont be able to put a stepboard if you have front mudguards or vise versa.
stepboard- i really need it coz my kids could hardly get in without assistance.
spoiler - its really a missing part.its was originally intended to have that. HARI just get rid of it to make it cheaper.

the rear spoiler will really make the Santa Fe look nicer. yun sa Getz CRdi ng brod ko, standard accessory siya

pero para sakin ok na din wala, para pag nilinis ko bubong ng carwash shampoo diretso na sa baba kagad. yun ilalim ng spoiler can accumulate hard dust in the future. tamad ako mag-linis eh hehehe

and regarding stepboards, I have a stepboard sa pickup, parati may singit singit ng dirt na ayaw maalis. for me extra effort pa. kakatamad

same reason na hindi na kami nagpapakabit ng rain gutters/visors and mudguards, dagdag trabaho. so hard to remove mud sa rubber mudguards. tapos kailangan paitimin mo pa after washing. lagyan ng tire block or armor all.

sa body ng car dali naman ma-wash out yun putik.

on sundays, I personally clean my santa fe, my strada and dad's explorer. na-cocompare ko talaga sobra. pinakamasarap linisin ang Santa fe kasi puro curves/rounded contours. the water flows smoothly. i can finish in 15 minutes wash and dry. yun explorer na medyo boxy mas matagal linisin, inaabot pa ako more than 30 min.

it's like the civic esi and the corolla efi nun 90's. mas masarap linisin ang civic kasi puro rounded curves.

    ---------

siguro nga useful stepboard if you have kids.

Hi Yuichi, got no feedback from my agent for the rear spoiler. On my next vacation na lang in April, i'll try harder.

Did anyone got quotation on back up sensors?

NP bro,sa Hyundai mismo. di kasi ako agad nagpalagay ng tint. so gusto nila ipalit na lang yung mudguard which has almost the same price. kung rear mga P1,500-P1,800 lang yan.

    hey guys!

i have a few questions I hope you could answer ... how is the 4wd drive engaged on the v6 model? is it real time or full time? is it turned on by the "mode" button on the steering wheel? I think this is the audio mode right? CD, Radio etc?

and what is the fuel consumption on the v6? the agent at alabang dealership said 8km/li...

My wife and I went to hyundai alabang and she was impressed(so was I). Although medyo stupid yun ahente na nagentertain sa min... does not now exactly the difference bet the crdi and v6 models

also, i'd like to ask if this is a good deal. He gave us 40k discount, pero gastos ko parin yun insurance and lto registration. only free stuff is tint and floor matts. maybe you got some better deals from your agents? thanks!

napansin ko rin, all sta fe models now sport the black+red stitching theme? We went to the garage and saw 2 v6 models, a black and a saphire red(i love this color)... di ba beige yun interior ng V6?

Sir automatic na po sya nag e engage sa 4wd. wala na po pipindutin. parang sa crv po. regarding po sa interior wala na po yung beige. black interior na din po yung V6 models... about fuel consumption po depende din tlaga sa driving style at sa traffic condition

hi guys, just wanted to let you guys know the first problem i encountered with the santa fe.. scared me but its quite a concern. Last weekend, was driving my santy in fort. (quite slow since i as off a turn), suddenly when the gear hit second at about 30-40km i heard a very loud "clank" sound either from the bottom of the car or the engine. First i thought i ran over a can but i looked behind and there was none. Then the shocking thing came. Lost power then engine sounded different also black smoke from tail pipe... I said oh no a lemon!!!! but the car still managed to move though had a hard time. Service did not open till monday but i had my speculations already that it was the turbo. So brought it to erod and told them about it. Left the car at 1130 am and they called me at around 2 saying the car was fixed. True enough it was the turbo. It seems that the clamp on the hose came off. So good for me no major problems. But I'm quite disturbed by this. If we look at our clamps for the hose of the turbo its really a clamp and not the kind of clamp that is tightened by screw. I guess this is one issue that hyundai should look into.

Oh by the way Lui... Please figure out what the bulb the santa fe uses for the fog lights. thanks.. I mean Model like 9004 or whatever.. thanks again

I was there in Alabang too. Their SA doesnt know what they are selling. really...Mabuti na lang at may forum dito ng Santa Fe. I was offered a good deal but on 20K discount w/ free LTO registration. Insurance was quoted for 40K. But still undecided till now if V6 or Crdi ang kukunin ko dahil 60K lang ang difference nila and Crdi variant doesnt have an airbag on Passenger side.

    Sir Lui,
I'm still waiting for your PM.

haha yeah, it was really wierd. but atleast meron agent. dumaan kami sa toyota alabang to check out the fort 2.7, dami tao and the SA's were all busy. no one attended to us. so i was just peeking around the rav4 and the new avanza, and after a few minutes umalis na kami ni misis. too bad...

the sta fe that was shown to me was really nice! 3rd row folds flat to the floor, blue illumination on the center console etc. the shift gate is manumatic like the mzr3. i'm surprised the 3rd row space is very decent!

anyway, I'm leaning on the v6 since I already have a diesel rig as an alternative. Also, maganda nga yun options ng v6 for that 60k difference. I might try other hyundai dealers along the way.

guys... are all sta fe's CBU's from korea? and, how would you know if the 4wd is engaged? may indicator ba sa dash?

    Re: Shark

Sana UV-stable na ang plastics nila ngayon. They faded and cracked like hell on some units. Yung ibang tiga-Adventure club nagka-problema din sa long term durability ng Shark.

Since it's there, invest na lang in a good UV protectant and don't let it come into contact with petroleum products and detergents.

Please figure out what the bulb the santa fe uses for the fog lights
AFAIK, it's run-of-the-mill H3.

saw few interior pics of Beige and Gray. sana may mga options gaya nito para yung ayaw sa black.and this Beige is better than the beige we had before, with red trim.

never thought the Khaki color also look good.
