Although the Santa Fe has a factory rust proofing this is usally still not enough...
Well, that's right sir dragonheart. That's what I did with my previous starex, I availed of Ziebart's lifetime guarantee rustproofing, covering not only the underchassis but the whole vehicle itself from top to bottom and bumper to bumper. Initial cost was 17k but for six years that we had our starex, the annual charge for the renewal and reapplication was just a little over 100 pesos. I guess that was worth it because the old starex was notorious for that rust problem that eats away the side panels. Before you know it butas na side panel ng starex mo.

and remember Zeibart guarantees that your car will not rust... if it does rust they will be the ones to replace or repair the damaged part at no cost to you... although you may say that Hyundai has its warranty but be very careful cause it may not cover rust... remember there are many reasons why rust would develop and if its because of forces beyond the control of Hyundai baka mahirap i daan sa warranty that is why the best talaga is to get the Zeibart lifetime rust proofing...

    Hi Washburn:

I too am contemplating paint protectors for my SF. Kaso at this time not so sure what is sulit in the long run. Ziebart and Bigberts are my options but no experience with either yet.

What service do you recommend kaya to protect your car?

Re insurance, its usually .5% of the value of the car ung participation ng owner. Meaning you will have to pay the first P7640 of the repair costs of the damage. insurance will pay for the rest.

can you clarify that...your insurance is 0 partcipation...meaning kung mabangga ka...you dont pay for anything..not a single peso...as in the insurance pay for everything..WOW! great deal...how much annual premium do you pay for that? whats the name if the insurance company?

Hi guys just got my Superior Red Santa Fe yesterday and all I can say is I am very satisfied with my choice! Everyone who has seen it have also expressed their admiration and often used the word WOW in their comments too.

Am now planning to get a paint protection from Big Bert's and will schedule treatment for additional rustproofing after 6 months nalang siguro. Dami na gastos eh

I also got the insurance without participation for damages above 10t only AFAIK. Damages below 10t will still incur a cost participation on my part.

In-house insurance yun e Standard Insurance name

just came from a hyundai dealer. my mom wanted to see the santa fe, because I told her I was getting one and she kept discouraging me. Wala pang 2 minutes when she saw it she said go ahead na. She was impressed with how it looks. Hopefully I'll be getting one next week, it just depends on which dealer will give me what im asking for...

Ok na ba yung P2500 for a rear Mudguard sa casa?

Thank you sir Safala. Sa rear lang kailangan ko dahil may stepboard na SF ko that serves as mudguard na rin sa front. Set of 4 ba palagi ang bilihan?

I got my first scratch on the front right fender of my black SF Thursday. No deep scars just scraped paint. Apparently, I didnt see the wall of our buildings multilevel parking ramp (which is tight) was near na till it was too late. Its about 2 inches long by 1/4 of an inch wide. Any advise to fix it? Do you recommend a retouch or a full repaint of the fender? Kinda too small and not too obvious from 5 feet away (black paint on black plastic fender kasi) to repain the whole fender. But the feeling that its not "perfect" kinda dampens the "brand new" feeling. I will ask the casa for advise...

That good to know. But there must be a catch somewhere. How much was the premium if I may ask? I got mine for 28K (CRDI 4x4) with .5% participation. Is it standard insurance?
    Thanks in advance.

    OT:

How do you maintain the new car smell of your SFs? Currently I use a compact cigatte lighter plug ionizer that seems to work. Definitely no eating inside the car. Also, I bring a shoe boxed sized tupperware type sealed container for take out food that I cant avoid bring inside the car.

    Any advise? Thanks!

Hi folks! I'm new to tsikot.com. I recently bought a white Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi - barely 1 month old. Thanks to this thread for convincing me.

Just want to post a question - does anybody here know if the stock radio supports remote control?

    Thanks in advance!
