Hello guys,

Newbie here, it's my first post I just purchased a SF 5 days ago, I have a question for all SF owners.... my friend adviced me to idle the car after using it for around 30 sec. to 1 min. everytime I use it, is this true? This is my 1st diesel car. Is it everytime I use the car or during long trips lang? I'm from Bacolod City, I only use it for house and office, around 5 to 10 mins. drive and park whole day sa office. if you're coming from a long drive which has a tendency to force the engine then it is advisable specially when you are using cheap oil. turbo compressors use the engine oil for bearing lubrication. ordinary oil when subjected to prolong extreme heat and immediately cooled down usually hardened. they termed this as "caking". once it hardens the flow of oil in the turbo compressor will be hampered and this will eventually destroy your turbo. that's the reason.

i suggest that you should use synthetic oil. this type of oil had a very high temperature tolerance and it doesn't loose it's composition easily. it also provides more protection for your engine. peace of mind actually.

try reading backward also. i had explain this before. there are tons of information also that you might need in your car.

update lang po! nakuha na po yung santa fe. sa manila bay yung kinuha nila. regarding sa freebies hindi na ako nakapag comment kung ano ipalagay na freebies sila daddy na nag palagay e. anyways yung mga nakabit na upgrades is spoiler, stepboard, rain gutter, lcd tv, backing sensor free daw lahat yan. although hindi ko masyado nagustuhan yung bagong head unit kasi hindi na ata puwede yung controls sa steering wheel.

oh well got test drive it sandali papunta office at ang ganda nga ng ride. lakas pa ng hatak kahit medyo tikim lang since break in period pa. excited na ako mag 1k pms. para makita talaga capabilities ni SF.

na hataw naman po unti, pero saglit lang, city drive pa lang kasi since kahapon lang nakuha tapos kanina ko lang po na try drive. pero would definitely love to drive more!

Gud am Sir Koolken, regarding control of head unit via steering wheel controls,you can purchase remote controls for the steering wheel, you just need the brand of head unit.

some advise lang po, ang turbocharger po ay pinapaikot ng exhaust gas ng makina. at ang langis na dumadaan sa turbo ay sa system din ng makina (engine mismo) it is true na dapat you must use synthetic oil para ma-protect ang turbo bearings dahil maselan ang mga yan. When it comes naman sa takbo ng sasakyan esp kapag palagi kang mabagal or city driving very prone ka to choke the turbo kasi ang carbon deposits ay mas marami kaysa sa mga sasakyan na palaging tumatakbo ng 80 to 90 percent total power ng makina. BAKIT??? kasi sa madalas na mabagal ang takbo dumidikit lang ang carbon sa mga turbine blades(take note that a turbo has 2 sets of blades) compressor and turbine blades. ang exhaust o usok galing sa engine ay dumadaan sa turbine blades at sa pagdaan nito tsaka iikot ang rotor which turbine and compressor blades are connected. kaya pag-ikot ng turbine blade iikot ang compressor blades na siya namang hihigop ng fresh air(kung fresh man ang air sa labas) from air filter dedeliver niya sa makina.

So ang performance ng turbo ay mas maganda kapag mabilis ang takbo mo(hi-way)dahil ang exhaust gas ay very hot at high velocity sa time na iyon kaya hindi didikit sa blades(minimal), ang advise ko lang sa may car na may turbo paminsan-minsan drive to the max nyo car nyo with safety to flush out carbon deposits accumulated sa blade ng turbine. You will notice the difference after driving to the max for about 10 km or 5km basta maximum na kaya mong i-drive o you can take. after long drive let the engine idle atleast one minute to cool down the engine. have a safe driving mga brod.
