newbie here! balak na po ng parents ko na bumili ng bagong sasakyan para palitan yung revo namin. grabe kasi sa gasolina. choices before ay vios or city kung mag kotse or baka fortuner o santa fe kung mag suv. pero more of incline na kami sa fortuner naka ilang balik na nga sa toyota dealers looking for good deals.
pero isang beses nag tingin sila sa hyundai alabang at na test drive nila yung santa fe. and woah! biglang naging convert sila, haha! they give me a call kasi nasa office ako that time. quite hesitant ako since its hyundai, although mas bilib ako sa diesel ng hyundai kaysa toyota, so i search sa net for reviews regarding santa fe and fortunately nakita ko itong forum na ito. upon reading the reviews dito sinabi ko sa kanila na magiging good buy nga ang santa fe.
pinag iisipan na nila mabuti yung deal na binigay sa hyundai alabang pero sakto napadaaan sila sa hyundai manila bay one time. at may nakuha daw sila na mas magandang deal. sana matuloy na at excited na din ako ma experience yung santa fe. kababasa pa lang mga usapan niyo dati nakaka excite na mag drive ng santa fe. haha!

I bought my SF more than 2 yrs ago from Hyundai Alabang dahil taga Las Pinas City lang ako at malapit sa lugar namin. Just look for Mang Nonoy if by chance mapadaan uli kayo dun sa Hyundai Alabang. In case na may offer silang free rear spoiler, ibang freebies na lang ang kunin nyo dahil mas mura at maganda yung spoiler na mabibili natin from other shops w/ LED third break lights. update lang po! nakuha na po yung santa fe. sa manila bay yung kinuha nila. regarding sa freebies hindi na ako nakapag comment kung ano ipalagay na freebies sila daddy na nag palagay e. anyways yung mga nakabit na upgrades is spoiler, stepboard, rain gutter, lcd tv, backing sensor free daw lahat yan. although hindi ko masyado nagustuhan yung bagong head unit kasi hindi na ata puwede yung controls sa steering wheel.
oh well got test drive it sandali papunta office at ang ganda nga ng ride. lakas pa ng hatak kahit medyo tikim lang since break in period pa. excited na ako mag 1k pms. para makita talaga capabilities ni SF.

I just purchased a SF 5 days ago, I have a question for all SF owners.... my friend adviced me to idle the car after using it for around 30 sec. to 1 min. everytime I use it, is this true? This is my 1st diesel car. Is it everytime I use the car or during long trips lang? I'm from Bacolod City, I only use it for house and office, around 5 to 10 mins. drive and park whole day sa office. Hope you can give me advice on this. Thanks in advance, it's nice to see we have SF forum in the Phil.... More power

March 13th, 2009 12:46 PM #6339I don't do it personally. Some people do it. The reason behind it is the turbo of our Santa Fe. It needs to be cooled down before you turn it of para di masira yung turbo. Siguro kung hataw to the max maybe you should do it. AKo what I do when I get inside our village I really drive slow mga 15km/h lang so the turbo does not kick in so when I get to my house I can turn it off immediately... Originally Posted by falcor
