i'm still searching in sulit for a suv 7seater hyundai brand w/the budget not exceeding half million.
*sg again ano mas mura pms please rank them in accelerating order.
sta fe,tucson,montero,fortuner at starex.
i know they are not in the same types of car but for me sila yung top choices ko therefore its important for me to know from a person who have a lot experience on those cars that i have mentioned anyways tia sa reply.
BTW my family is satisfied w/the xwind and dmax puro isuzu kasi mura pms but for me i'm not satisfied w/its performance kaya i prefer hyundai, mitsu and toyota.kaya lng talagang mahal brand new suv di pa kaya sa budget still searching for that wonder car.hehehe
Saan gagamitin ang plan mong car?
Kung pang baha, rough road = Montero and Fortuner na (both 7 pax max)
Kung pang city or highway = SF (max 7 pax) or Tucson (5 pax)
Kung pang maramihan, pang city or out of town = Starex na (max 12 pax)
Assuming na lahat ng nabangit ay diesel, hindi naman nagkakalayo ang FC nyan.
Dahil second hand, hindi ka sure sa condition maliban nalang kung kilala mo ang owner.
Goodluck!
^^TAMA ka pre!!!
may pangbaha at pangharabas na kami puro isuzu.
dmax at xwind.
3 nlng yung pinagpipilian ko.
sta fe 2003,sorento 2004 & starex 2003-2007.
kulang nlng check ko units at test drives.
anyways THANKS SA INPUTS!!!

*cnxpr08,
Asking your choices i wouldn't get the 2003 Santa Fe or 2004 sorento, aside from matanda na mga models na ito(meaning marami ng sakit), may mga quality issues din ang first gen santa fe and sorento. Either mag save up some more ka nalang and get the 2nd gen santa fe (2007 model up) or just go with the Starex.
^^
thanks for that wonderful advice.
mag-iipon nlng muna ako para brand new nlng yung bibilhin ko para iwas sakit sa ulo.
hey guy i need some opinions and info.
as you know i have a santa fe 2009, ondoy victim. most parts needing replacement from water damage had been replaced except for the 4WD module which i do not plan to replace anymore as i can by-pass this module with a simple switch.
my problem is this. some months back the SF started making noise on the right side of the engine bay. the noise will only be there if the ac is ON, shifter is in R or D and car is not moving (brakes applied on a stop) OR car is moving slowly. casa was of no help, they said it was the alternator when there is no obvious wrong with it. turned out the belt tensioner was limp already (must be the flood) and this caused the serpentine belt to flap, damaging the ac compressor clutch bearing. i had the compressor bearing, tensioner and belt replaced. it went away, then returned again. replaced new compressor, replaced tensioner 2x, belts 3x. and the problem persists. it will go away for a week or 2 after i replace a part then come back. has any one encountered this problem before? i've searched in the internet and this seems to be a common problem not just with hyundai but with engines having this serpentine belt and spring tensioner, and there seems to be no solution to it.
papost lang mga sirs, baka maexperience niyo rin nangyari sa sorento namin since mechanical twins naman fe and sorento (R-eVGT and 6spd A/t)
help guys, may nangyari sa sorento R-eVGT namin kanina. yung transmission (6 speed A/T). ngayon lang nangyari. I was reversing then put the gear to neutral, after 10 seconds, put to drive then may malakas na THUG sound, which is unusual kaya sinubukan ko ulitulitin shifting from park, reverse, neutral, but pagdating talaga sa Drive may malakas na THUG sound talaga parang may sumusuntok sa transmission. so since wala ng magawa, ayaw talaga maalis, I released the brake pedal to move the vehicle across a ramp and yun went to high RPMs para lang maiakyat which was effortless pag normal. nung pag akyat ganun parun yun THUG sound sa D so i let the engine to cool down a minute for the high RPMs then shut it off. pag start, everything went normal. the transition from N to D is again seamless. then ginamit ko ulit kanina OK na sya.
ano kaya nangyari? nachambahan lang kaya? wala pa kasi sa mga automatics namin ang nagbehave ng ganito.
thanks!
may nakita akong thread about this sa sf club although ako nde ko pa ito na-exper
thug sound when shifting to reverse
Thud when shifting
Just wanted to share... Why do other countries like the US gets the better models than we do?? Check out this model coming to their shores.... We always get the leftovers & old models in my view....
The run of new Hyundai models that pushed the company into a true competitor to Japan's best ends with this: an all-new version of the Santa Fe that sheds nearly 300 lbs. from the previous model -- and spawns a three-row version to let Hyundai compete for one group of customers it hadn't won over yet.
Soft-roading crossovers have become the family haulers of choice, and the new Santa Fe offers enough improvements to stay current with the surge of revamped competitors. The five-passenger version now goes under the name Santa Fe Sport, while the three-row version will get a LWB (long wheelbase) label. Both benefit from a diet Hyundai put the chassis on, using lighter yet stiffer varieties of steel and other tricks to shave 266 lbs. from a Santa Fe Sport, leaving it 561 lbs. lighter than a Ford Edge.
That lets Hyundai use smaller engines -- reserving the 3.3-liter V6 for only the LWB model -- and trumpet that the Santa Fe either beats or meets the best fuel economy among competitors, hitting 26 mpg combined. The 2-liter turbo develops 264 hp in the Sport, while the V6 churns out 290 hp in the LWB -- also tops in the class.
The Sante Fe Sport arrives this summer, while the larger Santa Fe won't hit these shores until next January.
Ganyan din yata ang darating dito because hyundai is selling global platform design of their models.
Sure late lang dito at syempre bawas features to keep the price competitive. One thing to note is the reduced weight due to extensive use of light weight but high strength steel plates. This is because hyundai produces their own steel plates specially for car application. Maruti (suzuki) of India import steel from Korea for their cars (as fas as I know) too.
we actually have the better version of Santa Fe (Revgt).
For the current gen 2, US has only the gas version and the low end model is a 5 seater. They'll get the gen 3 maybe July, we'll get it probably in q4 or q1 next year
Hi everyone,
I've been backtracking this thread and the others (the Hyundai Fuel Economy Database, and the Car Comparisons thread) but I couldn't find the answer to my question.
How's the fuel economy of the 2012 Santa Fe REVGT 4x2 compared to the Tucson revgt?
Thank you very much!
