Most of the SF owner here upgraded their alarm system with turbo timer.
GT808 is I think the most used brand for them. I have plan to upgrade mine too very soon.

Very much advisable in my opinion because the stock alarm has no vibration sensor. What if somebody decides to smash your windows without breaching your doors. The alarm wont go off because the doors and hatch remain closed. So better invest in a good car alarm because nowadays, the crooks and thieves are getting aggressive and creative in their style. I leave it to your good judgement Sir mechwarrior. i would suggest GT808 or Autopage, both with Turbo timer, the turbo timer comes in handy when you come from a long drive and the engine and oil are still hot and you can't turn off the engine quite yet because it will break your CRDI engine in the long run and shorten its lifespan, so what the turbo timer does is you can remove your key from the ignition while engine is still running until it cools down, maximum setting for the timer is 2 minutes. So if your in a hurry to get to where you need to go, this becomes very useful so your engine still has time to cool down. Capiche? Joke. The GT808 is worth 4k from Maspro i think![]()

Some Santa Fe off road action! Kaya din naman pala mga minor off roading like this one. Ayos ah parang meron din silang Santa Fe club kung san mang country yan na-shoot...
Tidus,
Don sa Youtube Video mo na may Rough Road Trail, may mga dinadaanan kami ditong Trail na ganyan and ok naman. Kaya naman actually as long as dahan dahan para konting ingat din sa sasakyan.
As you know, andito ako ngayon with my Family sa Samar at ako lang nag-drive. he he he.
I logged 950kms one way (Manila to Eastern Samar) and sa April 13 balik namin sa Manila.
Ganda Kalsada sa Sorsogon and Albay. NLEX Standard. Super smooth Asphalt pavement. Sarap humataw ng 100kph.
my SF got bumped from behind by an isuzu elf truck last march 28 on edsa under the aurora underpass at cubao while on the way to meralco theater. traffic was heavy so it was stop and go, but this truck was tailgaiting. then as i stopped again due to the traffic we suddenly felt a bump from the back. damage was light, scratched bumper and torn rubber bumper pad (that black rubber on top of the bumper). ay naku, kakainis. 3 month old car, araw-araw pinupunasan, every week ako ang nagwa-wash when i am home and some idiot decides to use it for stopping his truck.
anyway after much discussion found out that the truck belongs to this company that constructs all the pedestrian overpasses for the mmda. gentleman naman yung owner, they sent somebody to meet me at the mmda traffic office at timog-edsa intersection and promised to shoulder all expenses. first they wanted to ride on my insurance but i refused, e di tataas ang premiums ko next year kung papayag ako di ba. so in the end they ended up paying for all damages. they paid for it already in advance, and i made sure hyundai balintawak's quote will cover any unforeseen damage. di pa gawa, di pa dumadating yung part sa hyundai balintawak. wifey will be bringing the SF there next week when the part arrives.
so we ended up going to baguio with the SF bumper taped up to prevent the rubber bumper pad from "smiling". went to asin hot springs, too. grabe puro downhill, as in steeeeep downhill talaga going to asin. had to put the SF on manual mode and was on 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time. i first tried on D but then smelled the brakes heating up so manual mode lang talaga.
The important thing is that you are safe. Anyway pag steep downhill mas maganda nga to use manual mode para may engine braking to help the regular foot brake. Well I hope you can get your Santa Fe fixed ASAP.
Thanks po Doc Vince. Isang tanong pa po, hindi po ba mavo-void yong warranty kung pakabit ka ng alarm?
QUESTION DIN PO....HOW MUCH PO SPECIAL PLATE?
ABC 888
ABC 88
25K PO KC SINGIL SAKIN NUNG SALES AGENT SA ABC 888 n UNG ABC 88, MUCH HIGHER DAW PO....
Safe driving bro.
Ung ganyang plate na ABC 88 ay 25k talaga nakalagay sa LTO price list at 15k sa ABC 888, minsan hingi pa sila ng 2k sa any of the two plate, "FOR THE BOYS " nga. Try mo log on sa www.lto.gov.ph para makita mo sa special and vanity plates.
regarding plate po na abc 888. 15k po talaga un. pero may ibang papers din na kailangan. medyo maasikaso din po. casa ang charge usually nasa 25k. pero kung personal nalang between SA and customer i think 20k is fair.![]()
