no offense meant to strada owners but let me share my racing experience with an strada 3.2 pickup truck a few months back and this happened in quezon province, from the town of pagbilao to calauag on our way to bicol (spanning 5 towns but not sure though how many kms). mine is a 4x2 SF 2.2 crdi. from the town proper of pagbilao, i noticed this red strada flashing his headlights signalling me that he wants to pass by me. obviously he can't do it in town propers because of the single line traffic. but once we get out of the town proper traffic, i would step on my gas and there goes my SF leaving dust and smoke to the red strada (i noticed wala siya pulling power from 0kph). pag dating ng highway at cruising speed, i would see him again from afar behind me signalling with his headlight flashes. so i would again step on the gas until i could no longer see him again behind me. kayang kaya siya iwanan ng SF! then i would again maintain my cruising speed at 100-120kph until he becomes visible again from afar. of course there goes my SF again bursting with speed with a slight press on the gas pedal until he's again nowhere in sight. we've been doing this until calauag where we stopped for lunch. only then that he was able to get past me. hehehe sorry and peace!

btw, it's hard to overtake in quezon province because of the zigzag roads and the trucks and buses you need to get past thru.

Sir Sprinter I myself have so many encounters with other ladder frame SUV. To some I just let them pass but sometimes... meron talagang sinusubukan ka because your using Korean SUV

sorry to them but I know my car and I know their car capabilities also in terms of speed.

    peace all

*tidus1203-thanks for the suggestion...hehehe kaya naman i want to try nga to drive a truck hahaha cool khit n im only 5'2 =) and i have 1 more question the santa fe is automatic i ask the dealer kung merong manual ang sbi is they don't have manual for the santa fe and also in tucson but pwede daw i convert to manual un? un lang gagastos pah pag gnun because mas maganda kc ang manual pag sa long drive right? lalo na pag aakyat ng baguio hndi ba mas malakas sa diesel ung automatic for santa fe? btw what is the meaning of CRDI?

    Thanks!

Convert into manual?? I wouldn't do that cause its not safe unless your dealer can import you directly from Korea the 6 speed manual transmission. Pero that's unlikely for our market its all automatic and di naman bulok kasi 5 speed naman with tiptronic. Tiptronic meaning you can manually change the gears even though its automatic. The automatic is still very good for long drives.

Maskin automatic the SF has lot of torque, Baguio sisiw lang yan. Pero kung hardcore M/T lover ka talaga tough luck cause our market does not have the M/T option. In other countries as I have mentioned they have a 6 speed manual.

CRDi means Common Rail Direct Injection. High pressure, newer, electronically injected diesel engines. Meaning less smell (old diesel stink, PUJ anyone?), less vibrations very comparable to gasoline engines (old Crosswind and old Tamaraw FX anyone?) and less noise (way mas tahimik sa old diesel but still slightly louder than gasoline engines).

Nang bumyahe kami sa Visayas using SF, sa Naga and Sorsogon lang ako naka-120kph dahil meron doon provicial road na mahaba at diretso lang.

Brand new nalang. You are never going to be 100% sure with 2nd hand unless kilala mo yung seller talaga...

Diesel ang type mong kukunin na Sta Fe? Bakit ayaw mo ng Sta Fe na Gas Engine? All Wheel Drive ba sya?

Ang experience ko kase, mas fuel efficient ang mga automatic na AWD.
