    here's how to install:

tools: socket wrench and a small flat screw driver

    1. remove the engine plastic cover. it is not necessary to remove the turbo inter-cooler. only two bolts to be unscrewed.

    2. un-plugged the socket that is connected to the rail

    3. plug the socket coming from the rail to the socket provided by the chip. pay attention to the locks of the sockets.

    continued...

    4. connect the other end of the wiring harness to the rail. always pay attention to the locks provided. it maybe difficult to fit in the socket due to the rubber seal but just push it in until you heard the "click" sound.

    5. once done, connect the test probe provided with the chip. to test, switch on the ignition. if wiring is correct, the led light inside the probe will light.

    6. remove the probe and install the chip then start the engine. one thing to notice is that the "idle rpm" will rise than the normal idle speed. this is the indication that the chip is working.

    7. fasten the harness using the straps provided. take note that there lots of room to lay-out the harness specially above the engine where the installation could look tidy but that area will generate too much heat. extreme heat will cause the cable to brittle and may pose problems afterwards. so try to avoid that area. be sure also to secure the chip that it may not pose problems during your car's preventive maintenance.

thanks! it will help a lot for those who will try to do the same upgrade.

    some more information:

the customs did not ask for any duties for this shipment. i don't know why, probably due to only one very small item.
costs is 129 euros excluding the freight. i still don't pay for this since my friend in germany is the one paying all the expenses and still have no information for the freight costs.

additional info on the installation specially for the flat screw driver, this is used to pry the socket out. please take a closer look at the socket attached to the rail, socket has lock. this is where this tool is very useful or else the locks and connection inside will be damage if it will be forced.

Ghost, I suggest you create a separate thread for the chip upgrade para di matabunan ng replies dito. ^_^

Please post changes in power and/or consumption. thanks :-)

less restriction air filters mounted inside the engine bay...

meron ako suggestion sa set-up na to but it's up to you to decide...

it's nice to look but it doesn't perform as what everybody thinks as it is.

there is more oxygen in cold temperature than in hot temperature. that is why some engine specially those equipped with turbo have intercoolers mounted in them to have a constant cold or ambient temperature. more oxygen means more combustion when mixed with fuel therefore more power. this set-up is only good when the temperature inside the engine bay is cool which happens during start-up (this is when you feel your engine is kicking). however, after prolong driving the power will diminish as hot air comes in because there is now less oxygen needed for combustion. the result, less power and more fuel.

enthusiasts who wanted to have a continuous engine power but with less money to burn usually fabricate scoop somewhere in the front bumber to catch more cold air as their speed rise.

bottom line is more oxygen, more power.
