Thanks for sharing! Yours is a 4x4 18-inch wheel sir? May fuel-mileage reading ka at 120 kph?

With that panel picture, you must be in 5th-gear with the auto-tranny Fe at that approx. 1600 rpm speeding around 71 kph (im just estimating based on a differential gear ratio of 3.195, 5th-gear ratio of 1.000 and 18-inch tire). You're consuming around 17 km per litre (5.9 litres per 100 km). Tipid na din yan sir for that amazing power ng Fe

Mas tipid nga lang ang 3.0-litre Isuzu DMax pickup manual-tranny at 5th-gear (21.5 km per litre at 85 kph along NLEX)

Anyway, nais ko pa rin magka-Santa Fe

ang tipid pala ng DMax! i actually believe FC from private owners than those from car magazines or dealerships. it more realistic.

anyway, our SF is a 2010 4x2 ReVGT with stock 17inch rims and tires. that trip, we were 4 in the SF (3 adult size and 1 child) plus all our beach outing gears. my average FC mixed hiway and city is 8-9Liters / 100kms. i will try to take note or a picture when i am cruising at 120km/h. teka......100km/h na lang pala ang speed limit sa SLEX. let's see kung pano ko magagawa request nyo.

    Good day sir,

I have been a proud owner of 2010 spec up Sta Fe for more than a year. I also wrote a review on this forum about a year ago. Sadly just after a year of using my unit I experienced transmission problem, i have it checked with my casa. After they run diagnostic on it, it reads "TRANSMISSION RANGE CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION"
Base on the mechanic they said that when shifting from normal to drive the gear will go directly to 3rd gear instead of 1st gear. Every time you shift from neutral to drive you will experience a violent shift shock that literally shakes the whole engine block and body.
I did not do any upgrade or modification and the unit is casa maintained.
Did anyone experienced similar problems or aware of similar cases?
Anyone knows someone from HARI that i can talk to regarding the built quality of the unit?

My father and father in law was planning to buy a sta fe for themselves but they were literally turned off with what happened to my unit...

    need your replies sirs...
    thanks

    Sir Emonem.

Will Hyundai Philippines replace or repair the transmission at their cost, since you are subject to the company's 5-year warranty period? i hope HARI does as this is the practice in other countries, like in Australia.

Thanks for any feedback and goodluck sir.

Noong pumunta naman kami ng Baguio City from Metro Manila last December 2010, 4 of us (3 adults, my 9 year-old son plus luggage for 3 days), ang consumo ko naman sa DMax Ddi-iTEQ was 15.4 km per litre at halos lahat ng fuel nilamon sa pag-akyat ng Baguio City via the Marcos highway, revs between 2000 rpm to 2250 rpm in 4th-gear. Intermittently, i downshifted to 3rd-gear in tight hairpins or switchbacks. Sa patag from Metro Manila to Sison, La Union before the ascent via the Marcos highway parang hindi man bumaba ang fuel gauge ko (started full tank with Petron Turbo diesel) at speeds of 80 kph most of the time, to 100 kph intermittently. Ngunit nang akyatan na and after reaching our destination in Baguio City, naging 3/4 na ang fuel tank ko over a total distance of 293.1 km

Last May 2010, nang bumiyahe naman kami ng Naga City to Camarines Watersports Complex (CWC), straight 425.5 km drive, ang consumption ko was 17 km per litre. Halos patag naman papunta doon with the exemption of the Bitukang Manok route. My engine revs were between 1750 rpm to 2250 rpm. Nag-reliebo kami ni misis after 350 km at siya ang mahilig mag-rev beyond 2000 rpm prior to upshifting

No need sir to take a pic of your panel while driving 120 kph sa SLEX ---- your safety takes precedence over this one. Once i got the Santa Fe (also the 4x2), i will just do my own reading. Honestly, i still want the 6-speed manual-tranny Santa Fe. Sana magparating ang HARI nito sa atin.

    Kind regards.

maybe that is the transmission problem of the 2010 sta fe? they say the 6-speed 2010 has this problem but not the 5-speed 2007-2009 sta fe. read here >>> Transmission Problems With New 2010 Santa Fe - Hyundai-Forums.com : Hyundai Forum

Oh my 54% of the survey respondents in that forum link said "YES", they're having problems with their 2010 Fe transmissions?!

i hope HARI brings the manual-tranny Fe here, and fix the problem at the company's/ dealer's cost on the auto-trannies....

Damn.. buti hindi ganyan yung sa SF namin. Buti nalang din 5-years ang warranty ng HARI But I heard the 2-year extended warranty is BS, pagdating daw doon pahirapan na mag-claim

*hindmaxiado: Ok lang yan kahit walang M/T, kayang kaya naman iwanan yung..... :shhh:

oo nga e, it's good that i bought the 2009 sta fe. i read in those forums that the only remedy for some of those 2010 sta fes is complete tranny replacement!

Tama ka sir! Actually sa Australia sir, ang Hyundai doon would replace the whole transmission of the owners. There was even a guy that broke his auto-tranny twice and Hyundai Australia replaced them at no cost at all to the owner. The period of 5-year warranty is the same globally for Hyundai owners.
