We travel last jan 2,09 to bagiuo bale 7 adult & 1 6years old punong puno kami pero ok yung santa fe very comfortable ok naman yung leg room & the speed was very very good kasi 4 hours lng namin kinuha up to manila.I prefer kasi na pagdating mo sa pupuntahan mo di ka lamog gawa ng sobrang tagtag ng biyahe mo kaya we really like the santa fe. Kung magpapalit kami ng suv santa fe uli yung kukunin namin yung all new pag meron na kasi good experience talaga. We like it talaga kasi para kang naka petrol sa speed & pulling power ng diesel. Sana yung susunod na generation ng sf yung head unit may dvd & lcd na kasi yung sa amin nagpalit pa ko,laking tulong kasi pag meron kang entertainment sa biyeha di ka maiinip, manila to bagiuo di mo matatapos yung 2 dvd movie andun ka na di ka maiinip kasi well entertained & very comfortable yung biyahe wala pang tantrums yung kid na kasama ko kasi di sya naiinip. Anyways Ma'am lady rider, kelan yung napaka ganda natin sticker? sali me ha! Excited na ko na idikit yun sa santa fe namin! Advise us please! Thanks....

OT: Since you were considering Montero Sport may I know kano pa katagal ang waiting time for one?

And to avoid OT. I say when you buy your Santa Fe shop around. Not all Hyundai dealers are the same. I bought mine at Hyundai Quezon Ave. and found it to have the best deal among 3 other dealers I canvassed. I don't know where you live so it might not be convenient for you pero back in November I got mine with a P30K discount (pero may promo kasi sila nun eh yung Hyundai Invasion 2 less P20K pero yung P10K pinakiusapan ko pa) so P1,508,000 lang ginastos ko may free 1 year insurance, free rain guard, free floor mats and free seat covers. The 3 year LTO was not free kasi cash daw transaction ko (we are always discriminated upon). Pag nag finance ka kasama na yung 3 years LTO on top of that pati chattel sagot na nila. Pero mataas interest rates nila so shop around muna or just go get a bank loan its always cheaper. The dealers will try to lure you with freebies pero wala yun dahil ang taas talaga interest nila.

Nung bagong labas unit ko, dinala ko yun sa bicol for break-in. 7 PAX + lots of baggages... so full load. pero Daet kami... Ride was smooth and no problem at all. I go there about 1x a year, so not a problem for me.

    Allan and Vedder,

I wonder how big the adults you are referring to as passengers in your SF when you went to Baguio/Daet and not complain on the SF's reduced Ground Clearance.

I am around 80 kgs and I think about 3 of the other 7 occupants are heavier than me (all in all 8 passengers kami incl Driver) when we went to Naga last weekend. So apat ang medyo petite sa 8 occupants which weigh between 60 and 70kgs. Wala kaming baggages and yet my SF is struggling on minor potholes sa Quezon kasi sumasagad ung shock during Body Rolls. Plus sumayad pa ako (I think it was the muffler) once sa lalim ng lubak sa One Passable Lane sa Andaya to think na may rear left shock has just been replaced last October due to leaks.

You might had lighter passengers than mine kaya siguro you did not encounter the problems I had.

    Just asking mga bros.

In my case, about 3 with approx. 75 kgs. and 3 petite about 55kgs. and 1 toddler. Baggage is maybe 100kgs. Pero bagong labas yung unit sa CASA.

Ako I had a long trip but not as loaded as nels76.
Last october I traveled the northern loop with my SF. I started at cavite to tuguegarao via nlex, sctex, cabanatuan, and many more towns. Then went to Piat and back to tuguegarao again, then on the 2nd day went to aparri and stayed at a resort at santa ana. Went to port irene to look at some cars. On the the third day went back to manila via pagudpud, ilocos norte, vigan route. All the time there were 5 adults and lots of luggage plus pasalubong on the way home. At one point I had a bit of an airtime when a huge speed hump cought me by surprise at a bridge in aparri, at the time I thought my suspension will get busted. After a week a had it checked at servitek for alignment and camber as well as inspection, but no damage was done, a testament to its robust suspension. The whole trip was enjoyable because at the end of the day I dont feel as tired when I traveled the to Kalibo via Roro from batangas using my ranger pinatubo ed. That was tiring considering it was a shorter drive. At the time the calapan to roxas road is not that bad(this was last 2007).

I wish makabalik ulit jan just to visit using my ride, the SF. sorry po if OT

I notice the scratch also inside the curb where the handle is located. This happen when you open the door with sharp object at hand or ring on the finger. Nilalagyan ko lang lagi ng wax to protect the paint.

no problem sir. pero meron ako strada na naka-chip upgrade though the chip is not the same brand that i ordered in germany. there's really a big difference between stock and the chipped engine. one thing is i got better fuel mileage than before without changing my driving habits and style. there's an improvement of 2km/L. for the power, there's no dyno to justify here in our place. ginawa ko lang ay tinggal ko yong chip and observe how the engine reacts. bumalik yong pagka-sluggish ng engine at tumaas din yong fuel consumption ko. after confirming the benifits having the chip, i simply put it back again.

sir, please check the site of the manufacturer. i think they have the chip that you are looking for.

btw sir, i don't make business selling chip upgrades. it just happens that i ordered a chip for my SF and sayang naman yong freight kung isa lang yong ipadala rito so i asked my fellow SF'yers if they like to have one so i could patch them up.

one more thing, the manufacturer are selling most of their chip upgrades at 129 euros, probably they have the same price for your montero and patrol.
