Ingat po kayo and God bless!

Go inside the car and lock the car from remote.
    - If manually exit from the car, alarm sounds.
    - If start the car, it starts.

    may immobilizer yan sir...

Great! In that case, no need to upgrade alarm for me.

I usually avoid using the car kasi eh dahil wala pa kasi akong plaka hanggang ngayon eh (2009 lang ako nag pa register) pero they are already processing it as we speak. Nasa 668km pa lang ako!

I tried it during the test drive and yes the 3rd row is the best in its class in the market. Leather seats and the very smooth ride. Talong talo yung Fortuner and Everest in that regard. Kaso for my height masikip na yung knee room and the head room so yun yung complaint ko sa 3rd row. But that is ok I don't forsee myself seating there! I am 5'10 by the way...

hi sir, yung alarm upgrade kase is secondary to some. as for me, ang habol ko sa gt808 or autopage is the turbo-timer built-in to it and the shock sensor which is not available in the stock. it is recommended to install turbo-timer in the CDRi engines to allow the turbo to cool down for at least 1 minute before shutting off the engine especially after a long hard drive. with autopage/gt808, you can set the timer to 1 or 2 minutes, then turn-off the ignition, take the key, lock the car and leave while the engine is still running for the desired wait time. sabi naman ng iba, what they do to cool down the turbo is drive slow pag malapit na sa destination para mag-cool down ang turbo at hindi matagal wait time before shutting off the engine. thanks.

Pano warranty kung magpalagy ng turbo-timer? Ano definition ng long-drive, kung Makati-Ortigas long drive ba yun? Right now, I discipline myself to cool down engine for about 30 secs. Pero mukhang useful nga turbo timer.

    Ano po yung shock sensor?

sabi naman sa casa, add-ons like turbo-timer does not void the whole engine warranty. specific lang daw iyon sa affected part, if ever. my personal definition of long-drive is perhaps an out-of-town trip where turbo is in full use particularly when running over a 100kph, overtaking here and there

shock sensor is when the car is subjected to a shock thru physical contact or thru vibration while armed that sounds off the alarm, which is not available in the stock alarm. thunder and big bikes passing thru may trigger the alarm depending on the sensitivity level

VGT (the turbo type installed) is at full blast around 1750rpm. What you can do while you still don't have a turbo timer is to avoid going beyond that when you're near your destination.

However, turbo timer is useful for those who are not familiar with turbocharged engines [esp when your car is borrowed by a sibling or parent(s)].

kaya ako ever since nakabili ng auto na may turbo (starex) e lagi ako may baon na immodium para no need for a turbo timer

slow down ka na lang pag malapit na sa destination, basta hindi pumalo yung turbo for the last 1-2 minutes of your drive e ok na yun.

    Hello po.

I notice the leather seats get scratched pretty easily. Tapos red pa inner layer, so pansin agad yung gasgas.

How do you take care of the seats? According to manual, wash with soap and water. But is there anything that can make the leather more resilient to scratches? Mahirap iwasan ang gasgas pag may kids...

Pwede rin kayang iretouch with Kiwi black?

Well I know many people will go against it pero I did it na rin. I actually used the free seat cover the dealer gave me. Yeah I know, I know we shouldn't use seat covers on leather but hey at least I know its protected from scratches. The downside is you can't feel the leathery touch as much as if its not covered...

By the way how would you know if the turbo is kicking in? Do we just look at the revs or are there other more signs that we can look out for if the turbo is kicking in or not?

Just had 1Km checkup - Hyundai Manila Bay. Total cost - P2,780.00. Semi-synthetic. Tama ba yun?

Minsan kasi may mga sharp objects yung mga pants natin which can scratch the leather.

Sir Trackers, ang ArmourAll kase nagpapalutong ng leather at may tendency mag crack in the lone run. Mura na at all around use pa!
