hello po to everyone. thank you po sa thread na eto, very helpful lalo na sa mga nagbabalak bumili ng suv.

for the past 2 mos. i've been reading this thread and the ms, sf, and fort comparison. naka schedule po kasi na bumili kami ng suv next month pag uwi ko (God willing). this will be our first ever brand new car.
i've been contemplating which suv to buy among the 3, and through this thread, i was able to decide to go for sta fe crdi 4x4. i will be posting pictures pag nakabili na po kami and expect po na marami po ako questions about what to upgrade, accessories, maintenance, turbo timer, etc...

thanks again and best regards po to all!

for our SF's (diesel engine), we can't notice the turbo kick-in. our SF is equipped with VGT (variable geometry turbo) which in lay man's term "turbo pressure is always present", though technically not since most of the idle rpm's are between 700 to 750 for most of the diesel engines. most VGT's engage at around 800 rpm unlike the no-VGT's which engage at 2000 rpm.

you can only feel the turbo kick-in for the non-VGT's. once you reach the desired rpm for the turbo to engage, you can feel the sudden surge of additional power induced in the engine and the feeling of being pulled down to your seat.

about the immobilizer, equipped SF natin though d ko pa nasubukan. but i tried doing this on my xtrail before (kasi ayaw ko rin manwala) which happens to be exactly the same alarm system with our SF. the key is in our "keys", meron yan naka imbed na chip sa loob n pag hindi sila compatible, aandar muna sya tapos biglang i-shut off ng ECU. wala na rin kc ako time na mag experiment uli dahil naniniwala naman ako sa manufacturer but for others who may want to do, pakopya nyo keys nyo at try nyo gamitin, most likely i-shut off ng ECU ang makina.

Good day SF owners! Just want to give my opinion regarding upgrading of our SFs alarm.
Our SF's stock alarm doesn't have motion/vibration sensor. It is only triggered when a door has been opened. That means, alarm won't be triggered even if somebody or something has bumped into our SF. And bad thing about this, alam na ito ng mga bad elements. So ang ginagawa ng mga magnanakaw nowadays is to destroy the glass window and just pick up easily anything within their grasp. And they can do this in a few seconds. And I think most of the new models of cars have same stock alarm as our SF (walang motion/vibration sensor).
Therefore, better if we upgrade our stock alarm. Kahit medyo maingay kung minsan (even a passing motorcycle can trigger the alarm), this can discourage potential "magnanakaw" lurking around our cars.

Went to Casa(Hyundai Manila Bay) today to have my suspension checked, parang matigas kasi sa harap. Also, yung footbrake parang malambot...

So, at technician took the car for test drive and at low speed napansin na nya yung problem. So, he recommended retightening of bolts and adjustments of rear brakes.

After 3 hours of waiting, got my unit and I notice a lot of improvement in suspension. Buti na lang pina-check ko... it's a bit hard to notice if there is something wrong kasi bago lang sasakyan at ndi ko naman alam kung ano yung baseline performance.

But I'm impressed with their service guy, bilis lang naintindihan yung problem. That's Hyundai Manila Bay.

    Cheers.

Thats great! I'm not sure kung kung left or right tire pero tingin ko suspension yun. I'm not confident dito sa Hyundai Iloilo baka hindi nila maayos ang problema dumami pa

Ganun din sakin... in fact, it happens everytime na cold start. Pero di ko na napansin after the tune up.

i don't buy this, though sure the VGT does improve response in lower as well as higher RPM's but not like what i experience. sa 2.0li CRDI w/VT ng Carens, i sweat below 1800rpm or (sometimes)2000rpm the car is very sluggish because its OFF-BOOST. the Difference is huge, and once the Turbo Kicks-in its just a rush of good old pulling power - torque.
