Yesterday on two occasions muntik nakong banggain ng truck at kotse sa rear end.
When I got home, I checked the lights kasi I always make it a point to check all external lights during the recommended 1-2 min turbo cool down period. Ayun! I discovered wala pala akong brake lights. – All Dead! :shocked2: No warning light din sa dash to alert me about this problem. All tail park lights are working naman. Spent a couple hours checking all the fuses, bulbs and brake wiring – no problem all in good shape. The owners manual was not much help kaya nag search ako sa internet until I came across some articles that pointed to the brake switch as the possible culprit. This morning I asked my driver to bring my SF to Hyundai Erod and they confirmed the problem. It’s the brake switch that became faulty. This thing is found near the brake pedal arm. It’s a moving contact switch kaya subject to wear and tear every time we step on the brake pedal. 15T km napo SF ko.
Papalitan daw nila ito coz under warranty however wala daw stock. This is serious stuff. How can I drive safely without brake lights?? I then asked my driver to bring it to Sir Benjie of Maspro sa Banawe. He dismantled the thing at kinalikot po niya. In about an hour ayos na brake lights ko! Thanks to Sir Benjie! Did not even charge me a single centavo for it. Bumili na lang ako ng LED bulbs sa kanya as token of appreciation. We both know this is just temporary dahil remedyo lang and once I get the call from Hyundai for the replacement switch I will update you. Moral lesson: Always check your lights before kissing Fe good nite and in case of problems with Fe, don’t hesitate to call our friend and idol - Sir Benjie. Drive Safely Po mga ka-SF!

Before we left for Ilocos, nag-refuel kami sa Total Gas Station sa may Kamagong. The needle was pointing a little lower than the 1/4th mark. bale 55 liters ang na-refill namin based sa reading ng pump.

If you check the picture above after the trip, the needle is pointing a little bit above the 1/4th mark. I think baka mga 50 liters lang na-consume namin on the entire trip.

Mostly High RPM ang driving ko nyan since I had to do overtake some vehicles and may konting akyatan sa may bukana ng La Union from Pangasinan. And most of all, we had to be at the venue by 5AM. Pinilit ko talagang i-drive ng 5 hours from Manila to Tagudin. Grabe, hataw ako sa La Union ng 4AM. I was drving at 120 to 140 doon.

Oo pre. heavy on the pedal talaga ako niyan, and besides, medyo puno si SF. On top of the passengers that I mentioned, may mga baggages pa.

    Yours: 516kms / 38L = 13.57kms/L
    Mine: 654kms / ~50L = 13.08kms/L

Napansin ko nga shifting happens around the 2500RPM mark.

I really had to press hard on the pedal para lang mag-Gear Down sya. In this instance, na-miss ko ang Manual Transmission.

The SF's sports mode is medyo subtle ang pull compared to an MT's and to add, may delay ng konti ung shifting. Well, it's not that I don't like SF's Sports mode. Can't compare it to an MT talaga. na-mi-miss ko lang ang response ng MT when it comes to overtaking.

Sir, medyo nakapag-long drive na din kasi ako ng MT but not SUV. AUV Lang. hehehe.
