thanks sir. that's also my preferred station because i live north too...
seems like the problem is more likely caused by bad (handling of) fuel than the engine itself. hoping sana na hindi engine... :-)

i got my accent 1.4 mt 3 days ago and i noticed that thug sound at both low and high speed every time na mag engine break then accelerate. mas madidinig mo sya at lower speed when your driving on a subdivision where lots of humps on the way. i think sa transmission yan or engine mounting. or its just a sound from a relay coil kasi pag released mo ng pedal tutunog sya then apak ulit tutunog na naman.
hi guys,
after several weeks of continously using shell unleaded. wala na ako naririnig na engine knock. the previous symptoms are gone. hindi ko na ma simulate yung knocking sound.
what bothers me now is parang mahina humatak yung makina, i guess dahil unleaded lng gamit ko and i think it's a different issue.
so far im happy with my accent now. update ko kayo if may mga na observe pa ako kakaiba.
eto napansin ko din after my 2nd fill, humina yung hatak unlike nung kakakuha ko pa lng from the dealer. not really an issue for me, inassume ko nga na mas mataas cguro RON nung ikinarga nila before i-release yung unit. subukan kong i-fill next ng premium para ma-compare yung hatak. hindi ko nga lng masyadong nagagamit pa e kaya di maubos agad ung fuel. :D

Knock is usually heard at low rpms at part throttle or lugging under full throttle. If you're hearing it under braking or clutching, that's most likely engine supports.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
boss, try mo iisolate yung sound. Try running through the same place where you hear the sound with the engine turned off. piliin mo naman yung hindi matao at hindi pababa. kung tumunog pa din, you wil be left with underchassis and engine support. Experience ko din with older cars is when you rev it up real high then biglang off, kung sira ang engine support mo tutunog yun. I think tutunog nga din when you start up. Try mo din to, when your engine is on but you are not moving, subukan iliko left to right vice versa yung manibala with extra force. Pag may slack, may palitain jan.
hi there.. is this the hyundai alabang near alabang medical doctors and infront of isuzu or caltex i think? we'll be purchasing our accent there.. nakapila pa naman kami. i would be really interested joining you guys sa accent eyeball.
hi there.. thanks for sharing your experience with you hyundai accent. after reading your post medyo napag-isip na ako if i'll be pursing yung pagbili ng accent. actually naka-pila na kami, we're at the sixth. the same thing din yung bibilhin ko.. 1.4AT. I will take note of this post bro.. Thanks again..
Excuse me sairs/guys but just wanna point out..the word is THUD, (a dull sound, as of a heavy blow or fall) not thug..thug is an entirely different word and not in anyway connected to the issue we're talking about.
I prefer listening to strange knocks and noises sa mga high-walled areas or better kung may tunnel malapit sa inyo. Mahirap i- duplicate certain road conditions pero dito sa mga lugar na ito you will definitely hear (esp when you roll down the windows) sounds you weren't previously aware of..like suspension noises, tire noises lalo na yung mga tiny stones embedded on your tires AND that irritating engine knock.
