Yung m/t kasi ng accent parang 1.3j na vios. Very basic. Ginawa kasi ng hyundai na very affordable ito at the expense of safety.

Sa ABS/EBD, mahirap ito... You'll change everything from brake master, and one crucial thing is reprogramming the EPS (Electric Power Steering) & ECM (Engine Control Management). ABS on new cars today, lahat kumukuha ng data from Steering Position, Deceleration Rate. Kaya impossible ipakabit ito..
Pero kaya ko lang naman gusto ang M/T kasi tipid sa gas. Ang A/T ba hindi or same lang sila?
Ive read also na ang M/T ay walang keyless entry. So kapag kumuha ako, may extra charge kapag keyless?

As far as gas consumption is concern, mga nasa 10-20% difference siguro, and it isn't that much. Doon na magkakadeprencya if you got stuck in high volume traffic. Sa AT you have the convenience of just stepping on the gas, while sa MT, both your feet will be busy.
However, I still have joy driving MT units as you are in complete control of the car, not the other way around...
Keyless entry, I'd say na hindi ganon ka convenient yong existing alarm ng 1.4AT, it's just a bare security system. It won't automatically lock your doors when the car starts to run and you left them open. Sometimes, it arms even if the one door is left open.
On my unit, sinulit ko na lang until I find an OEM central locks and alarm. My supplier still hasn't found this thing. This is my last Mod na cguro...
If you want ABS and Airbags get the AT 1.4 Accent, there is no point in installing all this on a 1.4MT, forget it....
If you really want the MT accent and worried about your safety then better use your seatbelts all the time, airbags are supplemental equipments only which may and may not save the life of the person behind it. (no assurance)
Then of course this is another topic, but as everyone knows the more supplemental equipments you have the better...

ok na po ba yung update regarding knocking sound sa engine ng A/T na accent?
Update lang. After a few weeks ng ecu update ko nagkaron ng low power yung accent. Right after the update kasi inuubos ko muna yung nakakargang petron blaze. Took me a while para maubos kasi bihira ko lang gamitin. Nung maubos kinargahan ko ng petron xcs. Its a downgrade from the 100 octane of blaze but its still 95 octane, at first medyo ok naman, walang knocking issue parin. Kaso puro short distances lang mga trips ko around 4kms lang. Nagamit ko rin for the first 30kms yung petron xcs with no problems whatsover.
Kaso last night ginamit ko siya from my house sa qc to roxas blvd. Long trip na ito sakin, stop and go traffic, maya't maya nawalan bigla ng power, sagad na apak ko sa gas pedal yet hindi umaakyat rpm and speed. Pag nilagay ko sa neutral and rev ok naman. Nabwisit ako the whole night kasi nga nasisingitan ako lagi. Pag umabante na yung sa harap ko kahit anong piga ko sa pedal ang bagal umusad, pag sinagad ko naman sa flooring yung pedal mag antay pako ilang seconds para sumipa, kaso pag ganun sisipa talaga bigla sa 4k rpm. Tapos nung paakyat na sa ramp ng film center ayaw na umakyat kahit sagad na apak ko. Nakaakyat din pero ang tagal at pinagpawisan ako. Ganito ba ang low power issue after update? Nung pinatay ko engine and start uli nag back to normal, pero after a short while low power na naman.
Nawala na nga knocking issue ko eto naman pumalit. Haaay

Same din nangyari sa kotse ng wife ko. Sinabihan nya ako kagabi na parang mahina yung Accent nya, binale wala ko lang kse baka kse female driver eh. Pero this morning nung nabasa ko yung post mo, kinabahan na naman ako. So I tested it ngayon lang, and yun na nga low power na naman. Same thing before they changed the ECU.
Pina-update namin ito last week thinking na solved na nga pero eto na naman. Low Power na naman. Pinagtataka ko lang eh bakit sabay kahapon nag low-power, baka coincidence lang. Yung pagpa-update mo kse earlier ka samin ng 2 weeks, di kaya at a certain distance travelled mag lolow-power setting din sya? Or time delay?
Anyway, sana wala namang magreact violently. Just confirming your issues Sir Bratski.

Yes a/t po ang accent ko. Nagtataka lang ako bakit kagabi lang nangyari. Hindi kaya virus yun gaya ng sa montero na may time frame kung kailan aatake? Hehehe. Kasi kung mag lolow power siya dapat pagkatapos palang ng update nagloko na. Kaso naubos ko pa yung petron blaze ko, mga around 50kms din yun. Tapos nung nagpakarga ako ng petron xcs nagamit ko pa for 30 or so kms bago nag low power. Sinubukan ko ring gamitin ang manual mode pero ganun parin, low power, pag pinatay mo engine tapos start uli titino, kaso after a few minutes low power na naman. Almost unusable na siya ngayon lalu na pag may paahon.Haaayyy bwisit na naman ako.
