I was reading the old specs of our GS:
For TCi A/T: Gear Ratio : 1- 2.804; 2- 1.531; 3- 1.000; 4- 0.753; Reverse: 2.393; Final Gear Ratio: 3.909
For VGT A/T: Gear Ratio: 1- 3.730; 2- 3.308; 3- 1.519; 4- 1.000; 5- 0.840; Reverse: 2.740; Final Gear Ratio: 2.929
Sa rekta: - final ratio (input to wheel rev)
TCi- 2.943
VGT- 2.460
So, if everything is equal,- ideally,- tipid si VGT ng about 16%.
Further if both are running at 2000RPM and with the circumference of our 215/65 R17 tyres at 2.234meters, then the TCi ground speed would only be at 91KPH, while the VGT ground speed would be at 109KPH.... Sa gearing pa lang ito.... BTW, this checks with my experience on our TCi A/T

VGT sa 2500 rpm 140kph, 2800 rpm 160 kph, 3200rpm 180kph. kahapon yan sa sctex, 7 passengers and a weekend of luggage

Whew! 180KPH?.... L!ntek,- sa Autobanh lang ako naka-experience ng ganyan + more....Tumatakbo kami ng 220KPH+,- may nagflash pa sa likod para mag-overtake...
At one time, sa motorsiklo pa... Grabe ang kapit/yakap ko sa driver,- pareho pa kaming nakainom (at linsyak,- lalaki pa....)Hindi ko mismo nakita ang speed, pero sabi ng driver about 180KPH daw!!! Lahat ng santo natawag ko na....
