^ Agree. JP Wheels is a reliable shop eversince.

Bros,- what radiator/engine coolant are you using for your GS. Am still on the Hyundai casa purchased Wurth (color is blue), which I mix 1:8 with distilled water.

I was on its last drop last weekend and began looking for it... However, the Wurth coolant that I was able to source is color red, which seems to be not compatible to the current one I am using....

Also, Hyundai casa is offering a different coolant/color...

    Appreciate your input. TIA

Great find bro. Thanks for this.

Some of the recommended change intervals seem overly optimistic though. Under "severe usage conditions" the interval for differential gear oil is 90,000 km and for ATF, 100,000 km. I feel like I've babied our GS too much hehe. Was changing these out every 40,000 km.

Was also surprised the timing belt is due for replacement at 75,000 km / 5 years. Overdue na pala kami at 90,000 km. I thought it was at 100,000 km pa. Looks like I'll need to get this thing replaced asap.

Edit: just remembered timing chain nga pala itong VGT

Yup bro, casa practice is significantly guardbanded vs maintenance manual...

And yes, VGT is chain; TCI is belt....

    Hello mga sirs,

manghingi-hingi lang sana ako ng payo , worth it bang ipa-ayos starex 1997 model sa panahon ngayon(engine overhaul and body repairs)? 140k ang estimate ng kausap namin. umaandar pa naman po siya kaya lang sabi nung mechanic baka hindi na raw kayanin maka punta ng leyte . we use the car for delivery sa business namin and pang-uwe ng probinsiya.

thank you po sa mga payo

can you get a replacement car in good condition, that will do what you plan for it, for 140K ?

if the car is in honestly good condition, overhauled or not, i see no reason why it can't do mindanao, much less leyte...

I finally got to use the fuse tap i bought 2 years ago! Connected directly from the driver's side kick panel the 4xUSB (2 plus 2 extension) power supply and powered the dash cam from one of the usb ports. The 2x usb3.0 extensions i installed on the C pillar for the 2nd and 3rd row seats.

Hi mga Sir, couple of questions lang.

    1. Ano pwede gawin if mejo mag squeaking sound ung sliding door? Read here na wd40 silicone lubricant is ok?

    2. For some reason iba sound ng driver door and passenger door ko when opening and closing, parang ung sa driver side mejo click ung sound while sa passenger sounds more solid/new mejo thump ung tunog. Any causes for this? And how to fix?

    Thanks in advance!!!

    1. Silicone grease spray. Lubricate mo yung rollers and rails top, bottom and rear. Di pwede wd40 lang mag-evaporate lang agad yun.

    2. Check rubber bumpers baka need adjustment. Eto yung black rubber buttons that cushion the door panels when you close them and also prevent the doors from rattling.

    Thanks sir yebo!

Any recommended brand of silicone grease spray?

Any shop that knows how to fix yung bumpers ng door? No clue on doing mga diy kasi.

Also, is it possible to add 12v na outlet sa starex? Ideally sa back

Di ako maka post ng pic. But I ordered tihs from Lazada.

    https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.iGhG

Then cut and extended the cable to reach the C pillar.

I did this on my 2010 starex before. Same procedure, use a fuse tap for the positive supply.. Make sure you order the correct size na MINI FUSE TAP.

    https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.isHH

    https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.R0BP

You need to drill/cut a hole, preferably using a hole saw drill. Dapat halos exacto ang laki ng butas. Then install mo lang yung socket. Connect the negative to any bolt or screw that is on the car body.

Also yung kinabit ko ngayon madali lang alisin in case may warranty claim ako.

5000km pm done today. SA quoted me fs oil for P6781 total (free pa ang labor). I told him SS oil only as the interval is 5kkm. Ok lang daw. At P350 per liter x 8 liters, total went down to P3927.

In case meron man it will only be the folding mirror warranty that will be voided.
