Kailangan kayang maghandle ng high wattage yung power source. Initially I planned to tap directly from the battery (with an inline fuse of course) pero when I saw this connection sa fuse box, dito na lang ako nagtap.

*CVT: Yup, very convenient siya for air pumps. Ako naman ang habol ko diyan sa rear accessory power socket ay para sa electric cooler namin for long trips:

Padala yun ng uncle ko galing sa US. Igloo ang brand niya, matagal na sa amin yun, mula late 90s to early 2000s pa ata.

Hehe. My first course in college was Mech Eng but I eventually shifted to pre-med & the rest is history. I guess this is my way of crossing over temporarily to the other world that I left behind.

    Teka OT na tayo.

BTT: During cold starts, the serpentine belt of our GS has a faint squeaking sound but when the engine heats up, the squeaking stops. There is no adjustment for the belt since it has an auto tensioner. Initially I thought the tensioner was at fault but when I inquired about the price of the tensioner at the Hyundai casa here, the parts manager said there was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) re this symptom and what HARI recommends is to replace the serpentine belt & the pulleys. Among the owners of VGT units, has anyone of you been advised by the casa to have the belt & pulleys replaced during one of the PMS?

^ i had a similar problem with a santa fe, the serpentine belt was noisy. Turned out the culprit was a busted pulley bearing, and this in turn put stress on all the pulleys including the alternator and air con compressor clutch bearing. Recommended ng mechanic (not hyundai, their solution when i went to the hyundai casa was to replace everything -belts, pulleys, tensioner and alternator at a cost of 120k++) was to replace all pulleys and replace all bearings on alternator and air con compressor, approximate cost was 15k. Di ko na din pinagawa as i sold it na lang.

pero that seems to be the solution to that problem once the serpentine belt starts to make noise. The bearings already are starting to seize and if you do not replace them it will damage the alternator and air con compressor bearings. Kaya mas maganda pa din yung separate belt for the compressor and alternator, di nagkakadamayan pag may masira na isa lang.

Ilang kms na yung sta fe mo before the belt, tensioner and the bearings got busted?

I had an opportunity to drive a GS Gold kanina. ganun ba talaga pag HARI units na A/T? Kahit hindi naka apak sa brake pwede i shift from park to Drive by just pushng the button in the lever? Sa KDM na GS namin kelangan fully pressed talaga brake para ma shift. Dun sa na drive ko na Gold kahit hindi naka apak sa brake pwede i shift.

Ditto with glenn_duke. Even the previous Gen 3 required you to be on the brake pedal to make that shift. So when my brake light switch failed, I could not shift at all.

Baka pina bypass nya yung brake switch.

Kapag pumutok ang fuse ng brake light na sharing with the horn,- hindi mo siya maiaalis sa P. Kailangang isaksak mo ang susi sa slot sa may A/T box para maialis mo siya ng P....So it looks like it is not a mechanical 'lock' but rather an electrical or logic 'lock'.....

Nangyari ito sa mga nagpalit ng busina at sobrang lakas ang ipinalit, kaya pumutok ang shared na fuse ng busina at brake light...

Iyon yatang City at Jazz hanggang sa current model,- ganito pa rin....
