Half pa kasi laman eh, shell nitro+ kasi lagi pinapakarga ko since nung nilabas namin cya. Need your advice again mga Sir. Tnx po ulit.

Hindi po ba magbabago performance ng unit namin because of that? Any side effects po?

Ubusin mo na lang muna. Pag less than 1/4, fill it up with Euro IV para mas madaling makita ang effect.

yan lang ang hindi maganda sa mga non-hari 2013 units, euro-5 ang makina. samantalang alam naman nila na euro-2 lang ang big 3 and the best diesel in the philippines is only euro-4. although i hate hari for what they did when i bought my gs i would recommend a hari unit until the fuel in the philippines are already up to the standards of the engine. bad move yan ng independent importers, not getting units that are suited for local fuel standards.

I agree with you bro. Much as the Non-HARI units are specd up, the Euro V requirement is a handicap.

^^ I agree with you bro. You can't maximize the spec advantages with this handicap.

    Good day to all.

Anyone knows a good mechanic or shop that will do timing belt change 2008 GS TCi for a reasonable price? Obviously I can not afford dealer's pricing.

    Thanks in advance.

Industry standard rate for timing belt change is P1500. Try speedyfix.

Kasi sabi sa akin dahil daw yun sa Diesel Particulate Filter na nagregenerate. Can you enlighten me about this? TIA

We introduced the CRDI engine Starex in mid 2002 when the local diesel fuel was of poorer quality than what we have now, and ever since, we never had any problem or issue with our diesel fuel at all, except for contaminated diesel. The CRDI system in Hyundai vehicles is quite versatile when it comes to fuel. When the Turbo Diesel fuel was introduced by Petron around 3 years ago, we recommended this fuel, for more power thus more fuel efficiency. We started selling the Grand Starex with Euro 5 compliant engine way back in Nov 2011 as 2012 model. This is a sweet engine with 12% more torque (even more powerful acceleration to match), electric powered radiator fans (less NVH), more efficient re-designed EGR (so much better), and DPF Exhaust System (self-cleaning type).

In addition to Euro 4 being already obsolete and phased out in Korea, the Euro 5 Grand Starex is better than the Euro 4 version, and there's no reason to regress back to the old version. The Euro 4 CRDI and old TCI are only for export to third world countries now.

Please avoid contaminated Diesel (water, dirt and mud). It's not easy, I know.

    FYI.

di kaya pwede alisin yung shaft driven fan ng old GS then install ng electric motor driven fan? di ba yun lang pagkaiba nila?
