2008 Hyundai Starex (Gen. 4)

Am using Shell (Regular) Diesel for fuel and Shell Rimula X for engine oil... Will shift to a semi-synthetic variant at 15KKm....., which should be in about 6 months....

15T Kms ka pa lang bro? Low mileage. Or am I mistaken? Parang ang tagal na kasi nating pinag-uusapan yung GS experiences mo. Hehehe!

Yes, bro. IMm29,- a little over 11KKm pa lang ang mileage ng aming GS, which we acquired Oct2009.... We don't land travel that much these days kasi... Kung dito lang naman sa area namin,- iyong pangragasa ang gamit ko....

It was Bro.Naruto of THP who recommended to us to use RimulaX up to 15KKm-20KKm and then switch to semi-synthetic....Makes financial and technological sense so that's what I am doing, vs. using fully-synthetic oil starting at 5Kkm,- which I did on our Gen3....

Have a question about local HARI units. Are these equipped with alarms or keyless entry lang? Pansin ko rin walang auto-lock. Does HARI provide an alarm system that does this para hindi ma void yung warranty? Again, unit is a VGT A/T

Ano na pala key fob ng GS niyo ngayon? Yung parang Civic FD parin ba or yung parang sa Santa Fe na separate ang remote sa key?

Yes ganyan sa gray market. But not sure about the local. Yan kasi yung may OEM "meep meep" alarm at immobilizer eh.

Yup ganyan sa Tucson (except Premium variant) at Santa Fe.

HARI units: switch for central lock (and alarm) is integrated with the key..... Two keys are given with the same features.

Also, autolock at around 40KPH.... Mukhang may mga units na wala nito....

Nasanay lang ako siguro sa FD, 15Kph hehe.

Samin, the alarm is integrated sa key. It's a HARI unit.

Bros.,- Just want to re-emphasize SG's input,- may immobilizer din iyang kasama,- so TCi AT and up - keyless entry, immoblizer, meep-meep alarm and speed sensing auto door locks....

Tried running at a little above 40KPH kanina - no go.

Read the manual and I read that you gotta go to the local dealership to have that done ("if equipped").

Will mention this next week sa 1st month checkup ng unit namin.

Where can I get info on the specs of the current variants of the Hyundai Starex?
I am a bit confused on the many variants: VGT, CVX, VGT Gold, etc.
The HARI website only lists the specs of the VGT / GOLD and TCI variants.

Na-enable yung speed sensing door locks at horn back alarm ng Santa Fe dahil sa GDS

For HARI Units, complete specs can be found in their HARI website. You can also find the specs in this link http://motioncars.com/; you can find gray market specs in this Hancars sulit.com page http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/vi...Brand+New+2011...gray market models are called CVX de luxe, CVX premium and HVX.

But not all gray market dealers have the same extra features. You will have to figure it out especially if you are not a Metro Manila resident. But definitely gray market units have more features than HARI units.

It is actually easy and simple to find these things via Google.

quick question. Just brought my GS to Pasig. Charge is over Php23K for 20K Km PMS which includes brake pads and all other normal PMS things like oil, filters, etc. Is it really that expensive? Hmmm....
