The manual 4x2 118 Hp diesel is listed as having a 0-100 Kph time of 11.2 seconds. Top speed at 182 Kph. Maybe at worst it will be similar in performance to diesel PPVs. The 160 Hp diesel would've been really nice. 0-100 Kph of 10 seconds, 197 Kph top speed for the automatic 4WD 160 Hp diesel.

Hmm. Gas or diesel. If it were the 160 hp version, no questions asked, diesel. But now it's a bit of a conundrum.
The CVT breathes new life to Honda's old engines, though it becomes boring. The diesel on the other hand will be adequate (think old Innova or old Tucson) but not seat-shoving.
A chip upgrade will help a lot for the diesel, but still not 160 hp. 😑

Those figures from either gas or diesel powerplants will only disappoint if you are looking for performance similar to a CX5 AWD or Forester XT.

July 26th, 2017 04:46 PM #127Confirmed ba that we are getting a CRV with a 118-hp, made in India diesel? While Thailand gets a 160-hp version?! That will suck for CRV fans here. I don't think people will be lining up to buy that.
A CRV with less hp than an Altis. The diesel may give it adequate grunt in the city but the lack of hp will show on the highway.

Are we getting CVTs for the new CR-V? From the chart makyong posted a page back it says the diesel versions will come with a 9AT.
Estimated acceleration times for the new 118 Hp diesel are actually better than the old 2.4L gasser. It's only around 130 Km/h and up that the gasser accelerates faster. Having owned the previous gen 2.0 gasser, am pretty confident even the lower output diesel will be a lot better. Accelerating that car from stoplights was bordering on depressing. Even the 1.5L City felt like it had a lot more punch.

July 26th, 2017 05:34 PM #129at that price 1.8M tapos 1.6M yun entry ewan ko ha pero may 2nd Gen Sta Fe pa ako, though I vowed never to get a Hyundai again, mas kukunin ko pa yan tig 1.5M na loaded na Tucson 2.0 crdi kesa dyan pero syempre 7 seater daw yan.
kayo na lang bahala mga maka-Honda. I just dont feel like spending more than 1.5M for 1.6L car

^^^ The CRV was never known to be the athletic or sporty CUV.
How much is the 4x2 Santa Fe nowadays? I guess it's a better deal of sorts than an anemic 7-seater diesel-fed CRV.Last edited by Egan101; July 26th, 2017 at 05:43 PM.
Choice I would have made as well.
