Just got the CRV back from the detailing shop. Availed of C.Quartz coating for 10.5k at ATMT Car Care. Let's see how this stacks up vs the regular carwash and wax regimen.

That is why some people avoid buying the first batches of a newly released model ...

Solved na stiff/heavy steering wheel. They deliberately tightened the steering wheel to see if the knocking sound will be fix. Unfortunately nandun pa din. The problem is nakalimutan nila ibalik sa normal setting yung stiffness ng steering wheel kaya matigas sya when i drove it. They just adjusted it through computer and its now ok.

So only the knocking sound really the main problem. The steering problem is cause by negligence of the casa to set back to the normal setting of the steering wheel when they are looking the knocking sound problem and now ok.

Yes bro the knocking sound is still there. A while ago when i drove it passing on rough roads i also heard a clunking noise, sounds like metal. It's not the same rattling sound I've been complaining before.

Question lang mga bossing, what's the radiator like thing that's inside the driver side wheel well?

Ang weird kasi ng placement for a breathing mechanism to be since it would get dirty and clogged up in no time being inside the wheel well of a car.. Tapos pag baha pa..? Na sa lower section pa naman siya.

Sealed system naman sya, kahit lubog sa tubig no problem. Just powerspray it pag nag papa carwash ka para malinis.

as the name implies. detailing or cosmetic detailing or automotive detiaing is improving appearance inside and outside. paint detailing's goal is making the paint look perfect.

protection via wax, sealant, coat, film are different ways to protect the detailed vehicle.

Glass coating keeps your car shiny and protects it from swirl marks and hairline scratches, so basically it has the same effect as regular waxing.

Pros - you just do it once and you're done. Cons - expensive, and tbh it doesn't look that different from a car without glass coating.

from experience, glasscoats/ceramic coats aren't really an end-to-end solution to scratches or swirls. swirls can still develop (and be seen in spotlight/sun) with improper washing technique.

otherwise, they do make cleaning much easier and our dark grey paint stays cleaner for longer between washes.

to the true-blood aficionadoes, "every little bit helps".
to the everyday person, "it doesn't matter if there are swirls or not".

Kahit naman wax magkakaswirls din. And I've come to accept that swirls are a part of life. It's not something I stress about anymore. [emoji16]

I noticed that gas CRVs use the Toyo Proxes R45 as the OEM tires, while the diesels use Michelin Primacy 3ST.

I wonder which is the better performing tire between the two. There aren't much reviews online for either.

re knocking sound, I had that prob before on my gen 3. And yes it is because of the EPS.

But as you stated kahit hinigpitan na, the toktoktok sound is still present, did they already check the top shock mount?
