While I'm on a two-lane road doing 5 mph over the speed limit, a car behind me tailed me dangerously close as if goading me to speed up. I didn't budge. Instead, I slowed down to the speed limit. The more people try to piss me off, the more I become an a**hole.
Then, when the two-lane road became six lanes, he decided to back off and stay behind me. What a dimwit.
Could've been a cop in a stealth car. I dunno. They do employ similar habits, trying to force a driver to speed. If it was a cop, I would have slowed down even more. Let him get pissed off for a change.![]()

the area is kinda of busier now. especially with the new train tracks construction. the volume has increased too. minimizing blindspots is still key for this adventurous area.
my brother is using the "force" and you using the "6th sense" make this place really "colorful"
Heavy downpour sa NLEX kanina almost zero visibility.
Dame na reminders to turn on your headlights to increase visibility.
Ayun may mga kamote pa din naka hazards on.
Pero kahit park lights nakapatay.

Announcements on the use of the hazards have been there for the past 10 years at least. Nothing has changed. I love driving in the rain but I know how dangerous it can get, doubly so with stupid drivers so, I have learned not to fight it but to adapt to it. I just make my way to the next gas station & wait for the rains to pass.

Yung mga mahilig mag counterflow sa one way road. Kupal talaga!

some folks believe that they can ruin their flat tires to non-usefulness, driving that short distance from the middle of the road to the side of it.
it's not an excuse. it's a way of thinking.
besides,
any sane person who has ever changed tires in the middle of a busy road,
will tell you,
"it's a harrowing experience."
yes, it is the expected response when unsavory situations are presented.
"maximum speed limit", as announced by road signage,
is for ideal daytime driving conditions only.
it is not for night time driving,
and it is certainly not for during rains, what with poor visibility and slippery road surface.
and yet, i still see a lot of slex drivers doing the maximum speed and beyond, during these non-ideal driving conditions.
usually SUVs and other similar vehicles, and breadloaf vans like the hiace and urvan, and even some vios-like vehicles who may be testing their tires' road grip-ability.
"para maka-uwi nang mas ma-aga", to avoid accident, no doubt.
heh heh.
have we noticed,
maximum speed on at-grade slex is 100 kph, while that above on the skyway, is only 80.
