in a way similar to dr.d yun argument ko. sinamahan ko na ng pakiusap na baka pwede ticket or bayaran ko nalang sya basta dalian lang dahil magagalit "asawa" ko pag di ako nakauwi agad. ngumiti nalang at tinanong ako "takot kayo sa asawa nyo sir" [emoji23][emoji23]Sent from my MI MAX 3 using Tapatalk
Turn on red - Wikipedia
"A turn on red is a principle of law permitting vehicles at a traffic light showing a red signal to turn into the direction of traffic nearer to them (almost always after a complete stop) when the way is clear, without having to wait for a green signal. It is intended to allow traffic to resume moving, with minimal risk provided that proper caution is observed."
eto pala bro, local site.

"You may turn on a solid red light but, unfortunately, you may not against a red arrow stoplight pointing to the right. For you not to commit a beating-the-red-light violation, remember to check carefully for red arrow lights or signs telling not to turn right on red before you make the turn."

Aantayin mo ang go ng lane mo before turning right, except when there is an island, then you can turn anytime “with care” when the coast is clear.

simplehan na lang natin, pag ang traffic light ay merong right turn signal, pag nag red yun bawal mag right turn at any time during red, pero kung ang traffic light ay red, yellow and green lang you can turn right at anytime "with care" , hth
Tapos meron naman times na yung traffic enforcer ina-allow din mag right if safe.. kapag nandun ako nakikiramdam na lang ako.. which is which - come what may ang decision making ko..

Usually depends on which side has the green.
For example Lanuza turning right to Ortigas, if Ortigas turning left into Lanuza is green, then obviously stop yung Ortigas headed toward C5, so ok lang mag right turn from Lanuza even though your light is red.
But if traffic on the direction you're turning into has the green, then dapat wait at the red because it's their turn and you turning right would be blocking the flow of green-lit traffic.

i am especially critical of the signage.
some of them, either were installed without logic in mind, or, i suspect, wrongly i hope, intentionally installed as to be easily missed by the motorist.
my favorite, is the no left turn sign, installed several meters from the curb, into the far left corner sidewalk of a wide avenue, covered by the light post and two other signs.
sinita ako dahil i made left turn. i complained, that (truly) i had not noticed the new sign. dati kasi, left turn was allowed.
well, a few weeks later, that sign was transplanted to the front, where it was easier to spot.
but after several more weeks, the sign totally disappeared, and we could turn left again.
and then there's the overgrown foliage that had since covered the formerly-well-placed sign.
someone should really cut those branches.
i'd do it, except that they're too highly-placed.. kailangan ng meralco giraffe.

ewan ko kung naayos na, from coastal road turning right to seaside paranque bro. mas malaki pa sign ng apartment for rent vs no right on red! LOL
Before you make any turn, on a red light or not, always check your side mirrors and rearview mirror. Look out for motorcycles, electric bicycles, cyclists, or electric scooters on your right before you step on the gas. Again, remember you don’t have the right of way if you’re turning right against a red light so don’t cut perpendicular traffic or honk at pedestrians crossing the road. We see a lot of drivers do this on the road and they aren’t just irritating, they also put everyone around them at risk.
You must yield for traffic. Wait for a few moments to make the turn after the vehicle in front of you, as cars approaching from your left are not obliged to stop for you. Don’t make the turn if the view to your left is obstructed by a large vehicle like a truck. It’s always safe to observe defensive driving than be sorry in the end. As we keep on saying, drive safe, everyone.
Ako ang may right of way/position- hoy!"
