Although it doesn’t happen often, I hate it when the car in front of me goes below the speed limit in a city road with no room for overtaking & when a chance for overtaking comes along, they speed up just to prevent us in the back from overtaking then resume their slow ways.
Another are those in an open road who speed up then brake for no reason then speed up again then brake.

I think that the speed limits on our expressways are lower than they should be. Some roads can be placed at 70 to 80mph (110 to 130 kmh).

I admit that I mostly drive over the speed limit but I am not rude to block or impede someone on the expressways. I just pass the slow ones on the road.

I just think that expressway enforcers should also apprehend those idiots driving below the speed limit. Even worse are those people driving slowly on the passing lane (leftmost lane). These guys impede the traffic flow. If you guys drive like a lazy grandma, stay away from the passing lane.

Lots of tourists on our roads. IDK why, but for a country that has such bad traffic, we have the most relaxed drivers. A lot drive so slowly even if there is no traffic in front. Sometimes it feels like they have so much spare time. This would be ok if they weren't blocking other drivers like in the slow lane on expressways, but on single lane roads it really blows.

my colleague was driving in the usa.
he noticed that while he was driving within the speed limits,
almost every car was whizzing past him.
even the police helicopter above seemed unmindful.
"sige na nga...! mag-ala expressway nga tayo..!"
brrrmmm...

years ago,
i almost died that night!
there was this large container van truck, without container,
stalled along the outermost lane of then-two-lane slex,
with out any warning sign or ewd whatsoever.
not even the regueur lumiliyab na lata.
along the inner lane beside it, was a slow-moving, poorly-lighted vehicle (provinciano jeep?).
i swerved to the center divider, which at that time was nothing more than a long strip of depressed ground paved with wild grass.

Next pet peeve - yung mga nakikipag-unahan pa pumasok ng kalsada or eskinita. Tapos it will take them ages to cross or merge into your lane. Pagkapasok nila, napakabagal pa na akala mo may binabasa or may hinahanap. Usually kung may mga passengers makikita mo parang nagdi-diskusyon pa sila. Wala silang pake na hindi maka-overtake yung mga kasunod kasi pwedeng 2-lane road lang siya, or maraming naka-park sa gilid kaya naging one lane na lang. Kung ganun din lang, dapat pinauna na lang muna sana nila yung incoming traffic hanggang medyo lumuwag.

Ganundin yung mga galing ng side street na may katapat na u-turn slot. Wala silang pake na nahaharangan nila yung incoming traffic instead na sa next u-turn na lang para makapag-merge ng maayos.

Once may suv na pa merge, etong mabagal na yellow cab at malayo pa eh todo babad ng busina. Then few meters later nag baba. So hinto din yung suv sa likod nya.

Once may gumawa sa Wife ko nyan sa Longos, one lane each. Nag bababa at nagsasakay jeep sa harap nya. Longos is one lane each direction lang. So she counterflow to overtake since malayo pa yung opposite direction. Yung nag bababa eh biglang humarurot habang naka counterflow na wife ko. She wouldn't make it na kasi malapit na kaalubong. Yung pasalubong na jeep eh nagalit dun sa humarurot na jeep dahil nga delikado ginawa nya. Di ko maintindihan bakit, ego ba?

In the two situations where I was tagged for speeding, they were not at the level of speed usual of me. I felt bad about those times.

74kmh at NAIAX

The NAIAX ticket was not quoted as speeding. The enforcer gave me a DTS - disregarding traffic signs.

Yung mga nagpapalit ng flat na gulong sa gitna ng kalsada. For sure, bago niya nakita o naramdaman na flat siya eh malayo na ang naitakbo niya ng malambot. So ano ba yung kaunting dagdag ikot lang para maitabi sa gilid ng kalsada nang di nakakaabala.

That’s what the shoulder lane is for… but somehow people use it as overtaking if its on the left and parking if it’s on the right… tsk tsk
