July 1st, 2003 10:09 AM #34is there a chance na maglabas ang ford ng above 2 liter displacement na escape AFTER the excise tax regulation is finally decided/released?

yes, it could be possible to bring in 3.0L V6 escapes/tributes. however, malamang konti lang yung bibili niyan versus the four-cylinder models.

There might be a chance that the 200HP V6 will be released here kung hindi na engine based yung excise tax.
However, the 4 liter version provides enough power for 99% of most people's needs. Plus the improved fuel economy figures for the I4 version might convince more people to skip the V6.

It could be possible, especially since Nissan is coming out with the XTrail with a 2.5L engine.

3.0L V6..?
i would? pero tatay ko di papayag..sya kasi magbabayd eh.. malakas tumungga ng gasolina un..ung 2.0L ko nga lang lakas na lumaklak eh..daig pa mga lasinggero sa may amin..hehe..
pero kung sa hiway driving mas malaki ang matitipid mo..ung sakin kasi kaunti lang ang deperensya from city driving against hiway driving.
peace.

July 6th, 2003 03:41 AM #40The 3.0L 200hp V6 available in the Escape or Mazda Tribute won't consume that much more fuel than the 2.0 I-4. It comes with higher gearing and is advanced in design. If the price diff were only P100,000, the V6 is the way to go.
