guys, just want to report my consumption while on the Velocity....dudes, I'm back to super unleaded walang difference sa consumption ko! hehehe kung meron man konting konti! I was expecting sana medyo 1km/l na dagdag, di umabot eh .1 lang ata difference sa lowest consumption ko ng super....even consumed better before sa super unleaded...so i'm back to super unleaded....

super unleaded -> ~8-8.5km/Li
velocity -> ~9.4-9.6km/Li

that's at least around 1km/Li improvement sakin kaya i'm sticking to velocity.

AFAIK 2004 version has a bigger displacement engine -> 2.3 li. compared to the underpowered 2.0li version of 2003

it has a shorter a/t shifter..body coloured bumpers (which i dont like)..interior fabrics ..what else?...

the 2.3 is more economical & feels lighter..

...did u receive a letter from ford phil stating that some of the 3.0 units may have a defective throttle cable? they will replace it for free anyways if you notice any of the ff; (its in the letter).

...well parang ok naman yung unit namen but we'll have it replaced with a brand new cable habang libre pa.

....to those who havent received any letter (only for the V6 variant), you may wanna call up your ford dealer to check it out.

kung hindi naman..pag dinala mo sa dealer papalitan naman nila agad un.. silent recall kasi ang practice nila dito sa pinas eh.

sinusubukan ko ngayon ang 95 octane rating sa escape..report ko ulit pag nakarami na ko ng fill-ups.

ang fuel mileage ko sa 93 octane: 7 km/L city and 9-10 km/L hiway.

actually mas mababa yan dati until gumamit ako ng unioil unleaded..galing.

I have posted this in another site for Ford cars and this is what I can share with you. I have an 04 Escape and I have been using Velocity religously for about a year. Until last month when I have noticed that when on idling, it was unstable and RPM would even drop to about 300 and so I had it checked by Ford. And guess what, the culprit was Velocity and I was advised not to use it anymore as it actually clogs the sensor (sorry folks can't remember the exact name of the part) and was advised to shift to unleaded. Nothing wrong if you listen to Ford as they said it was obvious I was using velocity as it left some bluish film on the sensor.

Just my experience.

Idling is more stable now and problem has not occured again.
